Or send in the Marines to take over a base--they stay in radio contact so you hear what's going on. I can see why there's a BSG mod for it, it's well suited for that. Most ships can have fighters and shuttles for spec ops or something. Nice controls.
I do wish there was more to the navigation, you're stuck with objects and nav points they give you, but the game is all about the scene you're playing out, not exploration or production.

BTW, it even runs well on a netbook. For widescreen gaming, you need to make a quick change in the registry you need to look up on widescreengaming.com. Nothing to it though.

NM i found it

Starshatter is overblown expensive too. Odd. Discontinued at Matrix, wonder why?
I see Armada 2526, maybe to get people to buy that? Might give it a shot but not until it drops a hell of a lot in price.

There's another game coming out sometime this year (maybe) that looks promising:

I remember when Starshatter was released, it doesn't seem that long ago. Some of us here at SimHQ made some impolite jokes about the name and having "shat" stars...

He he, yeah, rather poor choice of a title.

I never had much trouble with it crashing or problems, but some did. The developer basically stopped supporting it and so Matrix discontinued it.

And where can we take a look to those mods?

Pretty much everything you need is right here.

starshattermods.com

The gentleman who runs the site has a deep and genuine love for the game, and a seemingly endless amount of time on his hands, from looking at all the mods that are out there. I just dusted off my disc and am planning on finding some new stuff to install the next few weeks myself.

^ wha.... LOL... wait... they asked for $400000 donation? and nooooooooo wtf... force power? they are doing it wrong frown !

what's that 400k for? buying the 2005 engine prototype?

but I like how they ask the game fans to be involved (at least their money lol)... game developers need to do this for flight sim genre...
