Long time since any info on Power&Glory v3 development has been out...

These news won't seem much "per se" at first glance but are pretty good ones for those that have been consistently using P&G, and also for those that never enjoyed the P&G experience, so far, because they didn't have GT-Legends.


Without further due, it's with great pleasure that we can now confirm that:

There won't be a GT-Legends CD-Check requirement to install P&G v3.
...this means that, for Power&Glory v3, every single GTR2 user will be able to join the P&G party.

We have found a practical solution for P&G tyre selection/manuals that will (finally) make tyre selection clear for everybody.
...this means that, for Power&Glory v3, there will be no need to read separate documents and go out of the game.

That's awesome news; I have GTR2 but not GTL. I'll definitely be having a go at this now.

SimHQ will definitely have a server for this.

I've got a separate install of GTR2 waiting, just for this....can't wait until it's released.

We've done some minor tests this week and some in-game screenshots were taken, then placed in a "P&G v3 - WIP screens" album for the public.
There's a lot that wasn't captured and the album with the "Work In Progress" screenshots might be updated at any time.

Awesome screens, DucFreak...just makes my anticipation for this even stronger...

That looks incredible and the no-cd check is great news that should give this mod huge appeal. A lot of us are patiently (and not so patiently!) waiting for this. Thanks for the update, I can't wait!

How come there's no cd check anymore?

Simbin announced "rules" for conversion of their work some time after the original P&G mod came out.
The "rule" for conversion of an older Simbin title to a newer Simbin title (i.e. between GTL to GTR2) was that no CD-check was required.
Therefore, and since P&G fits this "rule", we will not use a CD-Check for the upcoming v3.

I bought GTL, never installed it (Starforce), just for P&G.

No biggie, though....got it on sale and P&G 3 so far looks good enough I'll just consider that it's what I bought.

Seeing as GTR2 does multi-class racing, weather and time of day....(subliminal message attempt)....it might be a good mod to run a few race mini-series with once it's released, similar to what's been done with SCES and rF.



Edit - DucFreak, is there a car list available yet as to what different models are going to be included in v3? We've seen close-up's of the Alfas, the Capris, the BMWs, the 911s, the Corvettes (coupe and hardtop) and the Pantera and I noticed a 914 in a couple of the on-track screens, as well. Just wondering if there's any more American iron included, such as the Mustang?
