Well, I'm sorry but that guy was just stupid. Yeah, he was too excited with all the cheering, and wanted to show off a bit too soon. He was too slow, too low, and hadn't even pulled his gears up , but starts aerobatics. I used to fly RC planes, and crashing just sucks! Lol! Especially a nice airplane.

He wasn't showing off, his aileron servo was reversed, thorough ground checks are important.

Both he and his helper did see that all of the controls were moving, just not in the proper direction."

Hehe. Done that. Damaged an F4 Corsair because I had the elevator servo reversed. It was hand launched, couldn't figure out why it just nosed down like that. Full throttle nose first into the ground. Fortunately it was only a few feet off the ground, so all I had to was replace the cowling and prop.

He should have treated it like a maiden flight with new servos in the ailerons. It was obviously way out of trim on takeoff, and the reversed aileron controls only exacerbated it.

Funny that bird didn't look like it had flaps, or if it did, they weren't deployed.

Ouch. That was not long for this world. I bought one of those little electric RTF jobs and only flew it three or four times because I could not stand to crash it.

I only flew an RC aircraft twice and both time ended in crashes. First time I was able to fix the plane, the second time it ended up as kindling when I flew into a tree. It is amazing how an open area that seems huge shrinks exponentially once the aircraft leaves the ground...
