Love the global lighting and dark shadows, very realistic! A3 will be amazing, no doubt!

And with the chopper physics engine of TOH, it will be a new Helo combat sim too!

are they using their own engine? or is that someone else's GFX engine.

Frostbite 2.0 looks pretty good too,

But these are the best screens I've ever seen for a Shooter.

Real Virtuality, their own engine. It's been a steady evolution since OFP.

Dunno. Nice screens are nice.

But all that future soldiers tech? Meh. Yeah ok lovely, but still not entirely MY cup of tea.

I know for sure you'll all have fun with that, nevertheless! biggrin

How come the Mi-28 has a three barreled cannon? Russian guns generally go 1, 2 (really a coupled Gast action barrel), 4 (Yak-b and GSh-G) and 6 barrel types. I've never heard of a 3 barrel Russian autocannon (and certainly not one on the Mi-28)!

Yes, the future stuff just turns me right off it, regardless how good it looks, and yes I know that with mods and talented individuals out there we might get it looking more conventional, but it's not on my 'must have' list.
I have enough going on with ArmaII to keep me happy at the moment.. smile

Nice and looking forward to it but will they finally fix the "robot voices" and fantasy flight physics in ARMA III?

This looks good to me.

Technically, it's "futuristic" but no so much so as to make it feel like Halo.

My only concern would be whether my PC could handle it. Because I bought a new PC last fall and I don't plan on investing another penny into it for gaming.

Besides, summer of 2012 is a long ways off.

ok, looks very loverly, i won't deny...

Just having trouble with the divers concept... Why is there a nuclear sub with divers all over it? Are there salvage missions to accomplish?

Regardless, agree on the whole aforementioned "feel like a robot" point. I hope that they fix the fluidity of movement. Scripted movements are what has always frustrated me the most with this title. I see the the dragon shirted character and i'm afraid I'm going to be struggling against a rigid coded character and his limitations rather than being allowed to become one with the environment.
Disregard abuse of player movement (like dolphin diving and bunny hopping)and I always felt at ease with the flow in games like battlefield.

[Yeah i expect that in a simulator you should NOT be able to fly to prone and pop off shots at 100 yards that smack a coke can every time, but you should be able to fire off shots.] Even Day of Defeat (pre HL2) and SWAT4 felt more free AND real via player movement than the OFP/ARMA series.

Anyway... Enough knitpicking, no wait...

Why is algae growing on composite blades in the same way as it does on metal housings? lol

Roll on ARMA3 and we'll see what you have to offer. Good luck to the team.
