Hopefully this issue will be seen here, in the proper thread.

I just noticed that Pat's generator is downloading and storing ALL flight reports to the data folder, not just PW missions, ALL missions including RoF beta, quick missions... just deleted almost 3500 files. I've been giving the beta an honest chance lately.

So I have a solid state drive for RoF; this isn't amenable to longevity of the SSD but I still fly PW campaigns (just not recently) because the air activity is much more realistic. Is there any way to temporarily disable the download mission reports for every flight???

Noticed there are several mission related files in the data folder. Disabled 'MissionParserLog' because I knew it was PW related, but it created a new one. There is 'missions.gtp', but not sure if that is RoF...

That is a problem indeed!
I deleted too, some kind of 3,500 mission log files, only to see them regenerated the next time I went to my game's folder...
I guess it would be more optimal if the CG could keep only the last mission's event log...

Go to your startup file in the data folder:

[KEY = system]
debug_info = 0
gamelog = 1
keep_binary_log = 0
mission_text_log = 0
modes = 0
show_net_skins = 1
skin_dir = "graphics\Skins\"

Make sure the bolded line is set to zero if you're not playing a PW mission. You'll need to re-enable it if you want automatic mission reporting.

Hi all, I have a bit of time and I want to do some things. Probably not major additions butI can address some issues. Adding the Brisfit and autumn textures are two things.

From Bandy:
I just noticed that Pat's generator is downloading and storing ALL flight reports to the data folder, not just PW missions, ALL missions including RoF beta, quick missions... just deleted almost 3500 files. I've been giving the beta an honest chance lately.

This is a setting in the ROF ini file and not something that I can control. It is RoF that generates the mission result filesand as long as the setting is in place (see post by RoFFan) it willgenerate mission results files. My code is completely independent of RoF and generates a mission file that is indistinguishable from any other. Neither my code nor RoF has any way of knowing when you are flying one of my missions vs. an RoF mission.

Thanks for response Pat and RoFFan. That'll work!

Is this not conflicting see: http://riseofflight.com/Forum/viewtopic.php?f=347&t=18778

Edit: Does anybody know how to judge the claims from your flight members, As a flight-leader I can not see who shoot down the enemy plane!

okay, so I put Brisfits in. Now the problem, if you thought DFWs and Breguets in 1916 were bad ...

What I want to do is not make planes appear ridiculously early. Putting the Brisfit in for the RE8 isn't great, but for the BE2 in 1915 IMHO we're better off without. By eliminating too early appearances it will at least make early plane sets reasonable, if limited (i.e. - no allied two seaters before 1917).

Let me know.

I kind of liked even the Breguet 14 as a RE8...(had a special British skin for them too)

I always set their AI to novice and occasionally some of them to normal, in order to counter their sturdiness and twin guns.
I will happily see the Brisffit to replace them and there is a mod that makes them to fire only one gun so...yes from me,
until the real RE8 arrival...(It can't be that far away, anyway) yep

BTW can you look again the take off points...
I had to switch to air starts when my plane started merged with a hangar after transferred to the legendary Roucourt airfield, in my Bloody April Jasta 11 Campaign... sigh
I used to address that problem in earlier versions by shifting the take off point a couple of hundred meters to the opposite direction, but that command seems to be missing from the later versions.

Another think I wanted always to ask, is about something I've noticed in the pilot attributes in the Campaign files.

Pilot
{
Name = "Lothar Rudorffer";
Rank = "Oberleutnant";
Picture = "German23";
Region = "";
Status = 0;
Missions = 60;
Aggressiveness = 0;
Skill = 3;
Sense = 0;

Are Sense, Aggressiveness and Status, leftovers from the RB Campaign or have any significance in RoF as well?

Thanks!

I will look at Roucourt.

The pilot attributes were added at a point where I thought that AI pilots would have certain personality attributes. No idea why I thought that - it would be a great way to vary AI but it was certainly never promised. So at the moment they serve no purpose. Maybe one day they will.

Region is for German regional medals.

Thanks Pat! thumbsup
What do I have to add to the pilots profile to get regional medals?
For example I have added as place of birth Munchen and getting the default German medals.
Should I have to write Bavaria as well, or only Bavaria?
The rest regions are Saxony and Wurttemberg?
Is it possible for the generator to use actual pilots from the squadron pool, than generic ones,
when another flight from your Squadron is generated in a mission and to keep track on their progress as well?
This only happens now, when aces are generated in another flight of your squadron...
