I scan it as clean and it's a unlikely there would be any threats from there anyways. So, I wouldn't worry about that. It just sounds to me like your anti-virus software uses a white-list (ie, it keeps a database of known *clean* files and sees if what you download is on there), and because our hobby is unfortunately something of a niche, it isn't familiar with this one.

What sort of antivirus do you use? Using white-lists for downloading files seems kind of daft.

Oh, and still all the same, don't blame me if it somehow turns out to be a virus that bankrupts you and runs off with your wife. smile

Edit: Oh, and just to be sure, it was this link I followed to get the file I scanned:

I've been seeing that sort of thing lately with avast. As I expect
that pretty much none of the exes I download are common, I don't
find it a particularly useful message.

Friday Beer Coop Mission

Simple Coop Mission where players join the same side/airbase and starts up their engine before the actual mission starts.

When all are ready to fly one player starts a mission using ingame Mission menu (Tab 4).

Fly the mission/land/crash/respawn and initiate a new mission of choice when done/bored/younameit.

Available missiontypes:
Scramble - enemy bombers will air-spawn heading for your base.
CAP - defend your shipping lanes from enemy bombers.
Escort ShipStrike - defend your bombers striking enemy ships.
Escort Bombers - defend your bombers striking an enemy airbase.

IMPORTANT! Copy files into [.\1C SoftClub\il-2 sturmovik cliffs of dover\missions\Multi\Co-Op] folder

Download Mission (7z)

Battle of Britain
in 5 Phases

This is a non-story campaign with a fairly accurate historic approach.
The missions are done with artistic freedom but the overall flow represents the actual process of the airwar.

No big final nor any designed suprises/features but perhaps a little repetitive, just like the real war was I guess.

Fly Hurricanes and Spitfires from different Squadrons with a correct homebase as far as my research have found.

AI support/enemies are also from accurately deployed airfields - nothing the player will notice too much of though.

War will proceed no matter your contribution, good or bad, but "mission victory" (by points) will put that side in a more favourable setup in the following mission-part, in terms of planes quantity and quality.

To fast-forward just start the mission and escape out again and you will proceed to the next in sequence (with enemy in favourable situation as described).

Originally built as RAF Fighter Command, this campaign has been extended to be flown as:

I./JG 26 - Bf109E pilot
III./ZG 26 - Bf110C pilot
II./SG 1 - Ju87B pilot
III./KG 1 - He111 pilot
II./KG 2 - Ju88 pilot
Corpo Aereo Italiano 56 Stormo - G.50 pilot (a challange)

These are less historical to reduce pilot flying distance.

Campaign Briefing:

The Battle of Britain can be roughly divided into five phases:

(10 July – 11 August) Kanalkampf "the Channel battles". Luftwaffe attacks the Shipping lanes of the Channel.

(12 August – 23 August) Adlerangriff "Eagle Attack", the early assault against the coastal airfields and Chain Home Radar Sites.

(24 August – 6 September) Assault on RAF Fighter Command, Luftwaffe targets the airfields. The critical phase of the battle. Blenheim raid LW airfields.

(7 September - 30 September) "Blitz", The day attacks switch to British towns and cities (London). RAF sinks numerous barges in Ostend/Dunkirk, probably reason for Op. Sea Lion to be postponed.

(1 October - 31 Oct) FighterBomber Attacks (bombers at night only) what could have been operation Sea Lion instead..

Each Phase is represented with 4 missions with a randomly selected planeset and to some extent a random target area.

Outcome of each mission is based on a score system to keep the war going no matter player result. Obviously, a good effort from the player will add to the side's score.

Player landing a damaged aircraft may earn up to 5 score making it well worth to fly home.

Side with best score will have better planes available next mission, AI and player(s).

(MP version is under contruction but BirthPlace regeneration laughs me in the face :/ )

Edit: Why not add a link too?
