kludger... just FYI... you don't need a pdf reader, the ipad does it by default...I just imported all of my pdf's as files into my books... (you might actually need the iBook app if it didn't come pre-loaded) and they all open and read just find without after market app.
Thanks for confirming Magnum, I had suspected iBooks added PDF functionality at some point back since PDFs started working on my wife's iPad too without GoodReader, but the main thing I love about Goodreader is it also allows you to edit the PDFs and make highlights, annotations etc, so when I am reading the game manuals for something it's easy to highlight important sections, make bookmarks etc and even send out the modified versions too as a new PDF. I think it also is able to read word docs and other formats too as well as pull files directly from the web but I mainly use it for the PDF archiving, annotation etc.
Glad Apple added builtin PDF capability though, reading pdf's magazines etc is one of the things the iPad is great for IMHO (besides surfing and playing games) :-)
