Little bit of column A and a little bit of column B. It can be a lot of fun and it can have long periods of boredom.

Can you shoot things...like people as they stand on the platform...

Is anyone working on a mode that lets you plant exploxives on the track to blow up the train as they pass?

That would be fun to watch.

Nah can't even make massive wrecks that are impressive looking.

The original Transport Tycoon had crashes. Sometimes a bus would stall on a rail crossing and get hit by a train, with a huge fireball, and a message would pop up "Train wreck, 278 passengers killed in fireball". Then for the next month or so there would be no passengers for any stations on the line were the wreck occured. Airliners also had random & spectacular crashes.

That's a bit like playing FSX to blow up stuff. It's not that kind of sim. Yes it's not exactly edge of your seat stuff but it's nice to play and the trick is to drive the trains as accurately as possible. When you have had enough you just uncouple the carriages and go as fast as you can until you de-rail. I have had Railworks up to 140mph biggrin

This one has the makings of being a decent sim. I like the cab movement which Railworks lacks. Looking forward to further updates.

I think it's about time to adjust the ballast though. biggrin The effect looks excessive for a normal railroad quality, and your brain would have filtered away most of that shake anyway.
