Hi, I am trying to figure out what kind and space needed for a Good SSD Drive..

Should I go for 2 small ones 1 for the OS and 1 for the games??

Should I get 1 big drive?? Put everything on it??

Which is a good brand, I been hearing bad things about OCZ??

can someone help me sort this out.. I have a Asus P8Z68-V Pro mobo if that helps.. So I would like to utilise the 6gbs SATA Ports..

Personally, I'd get one big enough to hold Windows + games. My Win7 install is ~12GB; and I usually only have ~100GB of games+mods/addons installed at one time; so in my situation a 120GB would be plenty (your mileage may vary)

I'd do the OS, but not worry about the games. The price on those things just isn't where it should be yet to pick up a large drive IMO. I don't think it would offer enough help to warrant it for, speedwise.
For OCZ, can't comment on anything other than portable flash drives where they're among the fastest out there, with the right model. Mine has lasted longer than any others I've had.

Since you are using the Z68 board with SATA III, my recommendation for ultimate speed for the same price is two OCZ Vertex 3s with 120 GB each and run them in RAID 0. Will be almost same price and you will max out your bandwidth. You will have to set RAID from the BIOS though.

Except that using more hardware also increases your chances of failure, and in RAID 0 if one fails you loose it all. One SSD is plenty fast IMO

I have the same setup as you and I went with a Crucial C300 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820148359 for both my win 7 and games that I play. I also have a backup platter HDD for games I dont play as often and dont require alot of loading.

The crucial c300 plugged into the SATAIII port FLIES! I can load a mission in A-10c in seconds. Its awesome.

I'm looking to build a new PC and SSD+ HDstorage seems to be the way to go. I currently have 200gb+ of games+stuff on my HD.

As this is long term-ish I really want more than 120gb, with the size of games now and Windows taking up more than 10gb. I suppose I could clone to a larger drive at some point though.

I would get one drive. The chance of failure for two is double. That one drive you mention is probably going to saturate the available bandwidth anyway. If you have ever messed with RAID 0, it's a PITA.

If you insist on running RAID, you should consider RAID 1 as it mirrors the drives and the read speed would be.... fast. Still would be faster than your boards bandwidth I would think.
