But my Q. why revive a thread from July about a patch for the game... now everyone will think a new patch is out, lol.

P.S. Anyone that had problems with this sort of DRM probably hasn't played any games made in the last 2-3 years, entering a key for online license validation is common for 90% of the games I've bought the last few years outside of GOG.

CMSF's and CMBN's DRM is about as benign as it can get these days. As enigma said, it's your loss.
