Since the game's modest arrival on the scene, it broke away as one of the most successful and popular modification to Tripwire Interactive's original game. So successful in fact, it made its way on to Steam as a free-to-play modification and was reported to have accumulated over 10,000 downloads on its first day of release. Game development is a demanding task. Team members, through they've come and gone, have often made large sacrifices of time, effort, relationships and finance to keep the project alive over these many years.

The team's only source of financing thus far has been its own pockets and the occasional community donation. Today, we the team are reaching out to our loyal community for its support.

We are now for the first time ever accepting donations to the team that has brought you Darkest Hour: Europe '44-'45. With your help, the team can cover the initial and working costs of Darkest Hour's spiritual successor, a from-the-ground-up project using the latest in game development tools.

Please send what you feel is right via PayPal to teamdarkesthour@kc.surewest.net, located in the United States of America. When donating, be sure to send us your real name and forum name if you have one so we know who to thank!
