Just got my DVD boxed version up to date with the just the patches and it's running just fine on Win 7 pro 64 bit. The game still runs in the 4:3 aspect ratio though even though I set the resolution in the config file to 1920x1080 (my Sony 55 TV). Any suggestions?

You need to edit your config file: conf.ini
For you, these are the settings you are looking to have:

[window]
width=1920
height=1080

And if you go into the video config screen in game, it will reset your settings. So set your settings in the file and save, then styart the game and do not go back into the in-game video options screen. It helps to save a backup of your conf.ini file in case things get changed you can recover.

Thanks for the info but I already did that. I think I'm missing something else that needs to be changed under the [window] setting. I've been thru this once before along time ago but I can't remember. Any other suggestions?

found it. you have to set this as well: changescreenres=1 instead of =0

save aspect=1

to

save aspect=0

In addition to new resolution settings.

Menu screens remain as 4:3 aspect but the rest will be in wide screen.

i have also applied the above, and still at 4.3 ratio
