We were going to use this in the last Phase but left out Burma and China. So...next time. Here is it in CNAC colors.

It still needs smoke, grease, scratches, burns, patches but it's pretty much done. Put on a USAAF skin and it's ready to Fly the Hump.

Keep up the good work guys!

My Uncle was an USAF Col when he retired, but flew these over the Hump as 2nd Lt in WW2. He said he would never forget the smell. Think a bunch of Chinese troops who have never flow and not enough barf bags to go around - YUCK!

Salute!

The Chinese character on the starboard of vertical stabilizer is mirrored. It's not a logo or symbol but the character "post" as in postal service.

I saw that after I posted it. I never imagined anyone would be able to read it, though. haha. That's very good.

Here's the OD version of the C-47. Also, the P-38G. We also have the J and L. Several others are at work right now. All nicely detailed. Next up for Rising Sun will be some fighting in Burma, China and Guadalcanal.

Warpaint complete on the F/G. Stencils in place. Just needs decals and unit doodads. Working on the J and an aluminum skin for the L. All the gadgets work. The Flight Model is a little rough but I will send it off to Mike shortly and it will irritate the hell out of him so he will fix it.

The prettiest 38 was the first, the XP. But I don't suppose there would be any reason to model it frown

Don't give me a P-38 with props that counter-rotate
They'll loop, roll and spin but they'll soon auger in
Don't give me a P-38!

Just give me Operations
Way out on some lonely atoll
For I am too young to die
I just want to go home.

Impressive work!

In Mauritius, we are once again taught how to live life: to take one's time, to socialize and mix up with different people, to taste unknown flavours, to admire nature and to appreciate the first light of dawn...

Finishing touches on the L.

Testing Dive Flap deployment and retraction

The pics don't really show how realistic the metal is in-game.

But a couple more tests and she will be done.

That is a really nice rendition of one of my favorte airplanes of all time. What does the cockpit look like?

The pit looks like a 38 pit right from the photographs. It's in progress and we will have it before we need it. Right now we have a ton of YAP toys in the queue.

Here's another new one. Just staying ahead of paint chores while waiting for the last YAP set toys. (Mike: Is it dirty enough?)

The Corsair is my other favorite WWII fighter!

All the Mustang fanbois can have the P51, I'll take a Lightning or Corsair any day!
