Good first blood practice tonight for these monsters.

Three things came out of the practice (maybe others who attended will have more comments).

Be sure and set buttons for the Ignition and Starter. You may need to shut your engine down in a pit stop for repairs. These things cook-off real quick when sitting at idle. It happened to a couple of drivers tonight in the pit lane. The car repair didn't do them in, but the fried engine did.

The starting lights are a bit different than you may be used to. There is a vertical column x5 of red lights. When the last column of red lights come on, GO! They don't turn green or don't go back out. The race will have a formation lap then a standing start. Get to the starting grid as soon as you can because the other cars will be cooking their engines.

Lastly, we tried traction control on low after a couple of early spinfest races. After you get some more practice in and we run a few races on Saturday, I'm going to ask for a vote on TC among those who are participating.

Next practice races Saturday at 12 PM eastern time.

As for the start, if you bring up the HUD panel that's got timing on it, you can see exactly when the lights go off as it will start the clock.

Steve and Dirt Diver asked about the possiblity of increasing mirror quality and resolution. Here's some files I put together that should do the trick. smile

Thanks a lot Darren and Rob. smile

Here is another base setup you might want to try. I already gave it to the people whom I met on the server yestreday.
