Will work together without ANY problem. Also: be sure to download the additional OVERDRIVE texture pack (free upgrade for REX2).

UTX works well with GEX too. Places roads, cities etc in the right places and makes them look more real. Many options to adjust it to your PCs horsepower.

Lukas is right, REX OD is highly recommended too.

If you like to fly in the mountains, FS Global X is cool too, replaces the mesh and adds IMO a lot to a more naturalistic look of the environment.

edit: Then there is the ORBX series, right now only the NW of the US and parts of BC, Canada and Australia is available. But man, thjis stuff looks really great, even much better than GEX + UTX together.

ORBX comes under the "Must Have" category, for me. I've got the entire Pacific Norhwest, including the Fjords. Just incredible. Don't have Australia, but I'm sure it's every bit as good. When I fly FSX, this is invariably, where I fly.
And it seems to have helped the default scenery, too, in some ways, unless it's my imagination.

Orbx will override the scenery that it "is" so to speak. I.e. if one has GEX for australia, And you get the ORBX coffs harbour scenery, it will only override the coffs harbour area. But I HIGHLY suggest all the Orbx scenery. It's a large collection, and VERY worth it.

And go buy REX2! NOW! You wont look back!

not your imagination. They have edited a huge number of Airports (around 400 IIRC in the Pacific NW) using the default objects. Still looking very much better than the default airports.

Dude, see my sig. I have GEX USA & Canada, GEX Europe and now GEX Africa and Middle East (the newest). I also have ORBX for the entire Australian continent. It's called Australia SP4, and it was on sale for like 40 bucks when I got it, down from 100. Sales might've been temporary, though. I also have REX 2 + Overdrive. All the other chaps are spot on. You've got to have all the best add-ons. I'm waiting for someone, perhaps GEX, to do South America and Central America.

Hasen`t this a huge impact on performance due to the scenery objects? Haven`t tried any VFR addon syet.
