I've had a few of those. Here's a collection from various sims. Some of these go back almost a decade, so you may have to excuse the lower resolution presentation. biggrin There might even be some you're hard pressed to figure out..

You are right Boilerplate, I don't recognize some of those sims.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Here is my latest.

I'll bet they wish they hadn't hit me. The B-17 tail gunner shot me but my plane continued flying and flew into the B-17.

That fireball between the two Japanese plane wings in front of the B-17 is what's left of my rapidly disintegrating Zero. eek2

Mapped the wrong key on my PC Dash2, instead of "lower prop pitch", it was mapped to "set taxi condition". Whith set power to climb, this results into burning engines immediately in the Jetstar.

Some of Boilerplate's screen shots are of Janes WW2 Fighters! I've still got that on the hard drive, I might fire it up. I even have some mods on CD I bought a long while back...

Give that man a Cuban! wink

There are still a few out there playing it. But it's been over 4 years since the last time I fired it up. The add-ons made a big difference. The mission builder was pretty good too.

Sadly after all these years, the Jane's WW2 Fighters website will be closing at the end 2011. You might want to scramble over there before they draw the curtains.

It's sad to see all that history is going to disappear at the end of the year. frown

Dilemma: Either jump to your death, or remain trapped in a precarious position, forever!

I chose the former biggrin

You picked the short runway there...

You're in good company actually. More BF-109's were lost to ground handling problems than to enemy fire.

The word "Martyr" is just a fancy name for "crappy fighter".

Then I should have fit right in, I am constantly having ground handling problems with the 109. wacky

There needs to be a wingman command for "Stay away from me you idiot!"

I've lost count of the number of times my useless wingman has crashed into me. Of course he ejected with lightning reflexes, while
I flipped upside down and ejected straight into the ground.

It seems no matter the sim the AI always find a way to crash into you.
From the looks of that screenshot the AI pilot came very close to ejecting into you. He was almost too fast on the ejection handle.
