Very much appreciate it.

Ya know, I was an avid WW2 enthusiast until perhaps a few months ago. I couldn't tell you the difference between an Albatros D.II from a Fokker D.VII! biggrin

I only wish there were more quality books to bring out the color of WW1 aviation. I told JFM to keep up his research and publish more books like his MvR. I read it in the first day I had it but kept on thumbing through it day after day picking it apart.

I'm relying on Jim to keep me straight in this project as I'm not the expert, just the paint-brush. wink

You and me both.. I only got into this when the game was put up for free download.. good god, I have kicked myself so bloody hard! why didn't I get this before?
I'm busy tracking down books myself, and just got hold of the 'Janes fighting aircraft of world war one' as a starter, but some of the other publications, 'British aeroplanes 1914-1918'.. 'German aircraft of the first world war' and 'French aircraft of the first world war' will set me back a tidy sum!

Sorry Graf, no offence mate, but I don't see any changes in the last pic... nope
To be more graphical, here's what I meant:

1). The nose tablets need to be reduced a bit in size and their order to change,
(Your first should be second and vice versa).
Also a little separation between the two is needed.

2). The wing tablets should be descaled a bit as well, reordered as above, with no separation added.

3). The V strut still has that dark area.

PS: My Photoshop betrayed me and took me so long to "edit" my reply... dizzy
Great work with the planks, they look marvelous! thumbsup
The above changes still need to be done, though...
Where is JFM to celebrate, anyway! cheers

Not so sure bud. I have two very clear photos(provided by JFM) of the placard placed as I have it. As for the wing placards...if anything I think I need to lengthen mine. The photo I have shows clearly they are elongated much more than mine.

Well, l'm not making things up my mind, I did showed relevant pictures, Jim provided.
It is my belief that the placards were of standard dimensions and applied either on the nose, or the wings, or the upper wing cut out, so they should be of the exact same scale. (think of it).
So find their correct scale compared with already given sizes of surrounding parts, (according to photos of the real things) and you are good to go, using the same plates all around.
As I see them now, compared to my photographs, look to me just a little, (as much as I showed more or less), larger than the originals.
This is my impression, I don't insist.
After all, Jim is the real expert...

PS: I checked further my reference and discovered that the sequence of the tablets could be interchangeable...
Petition withdrawn.
I'll let Jim comment on the size...

Damn you! Ok, ok...I've resized the placards about 10%. You are really wearing me out! In a good way of course. biggrin
