I thought it was an official patch and not a beta. Thanks for the heads up though!

quick test...prop pitch, skins work...loadouts for QMB still broken Yep same findings here Furbs after a quick spin. Convergence not fixed yet it seems. Elevator trim markedly more sensitive. Definite FPS and general performance improvement my side, stutter still present though less pronounced. Glowing orb bug still present when blowing up oil refinery drums. New explosion graphic-animation noted. Just downed a Heinkill and there was noticeable wreckage etc, looks a fair bit better first glance (and from afar lol). Not sure about other planes though, will try to post a close up screenie later.

Downloading the patch now. As judged by the comments at the other forum, commands work now. Michael.

I have the new patch for one hour now and; 1/ you can now put skins on the planes! Hurrah! 2/ the weather in the FMB are still bad! (Overcast with breaks does crash the game). 3/ the Tiger moth is more easy to use on the ground. 4/ I did not try for a long time so I cannot say if fps are better but it is like it is. I continue my test! But it feels like this is an amelioration, again not perfect but we get there. click on picture to see full size.

Can someone please post some screenies for me? Looking at 1C it appears people are saying the planes have a new texture / more reflective surface and the damage model appears better?
Thanks. Dont know if u can see it. Anyways, i like it. Gives it some "life" and it doesnt show up the same way in direct sunlight.

Does someone have the patch readme handy? The link doesn't actually discuss what is in the patch beyond MP GUI.
H This the original info from Luthier. There isn't a new readme with this beta release so far. The next patch will contain: * Improved streamlined multiplayer GUI * Other multiplayer improvements - more stability, all plane settings like convergence and paintscheme working at all times, less rare bugs, etc. * Various graphical improvements. The distant clouds are finally back - i.e. the flat representations of clouds you saw on beta screenshots with pretty sunlit borders. Finally fixed the landscape stripes bug, etc. * Improvements to FM and DM and various cockpit systems, as usual - long list there. * AI improvements, including at least the majority, if not all, of the order system working. * A new warship! Other things that are in the pipeline: * Sound. This is probably the biggest issue we're facing. We're taking a very drastic approach to the issue and pretty much redoing our sound from scratch. This means you won't see the new sound for a few more months. * FPS. The final remaining performance issues, which fortunately are comparatively minor, lie very deep in the engine, and require us to do a significant amount of work. Probably at least 2 months of it. * Online stability, more anti-cheating controls, and server and aircraft SDK - also a few months out. Dedicated Server SDK and documentation is probably going to be done the quickest. NOTE: this isn't an exhaustive list, but rather the main bullet points. I'm looking forward to testing it out, and there have been mostly postive reports from the bannana forums so far. It's my pub quiz night tonight so I won't be testing it myself for at least 6 pints. I'll post my findings when I do, and when I'm sober.

My Quiz Team are called 'The Sons of the Desert' from a Laurel and Hardy film. We are shyte....bunch of useless planks. +1 RE: The sheen, agreed its not right. Looks nice enough, but not accurate. Spit 1/1a FM does not appear to be changed either. Can confirm most commands work. AI still a bit dizzy though, small steps. Apparently the minelayer does lay mines, how thrilling lol. Haven't tried it myself. The performance boost is very welcome though, quite pleased with that. I'll do more testing tomorrow, 'Luthers' on the Telly, quite good.

I knew it was a mistake putting my location as liverpool, 'Bizzies' indeed! Well 'way aye mon', thanks for the advice but I don't think breathalysers work at 10,000 ft.. I a Cornishman as it goes, and no I don't chew straw or talk like a farmer either. I can drive a tractor though.
