I'm having great fun with this one folks. I'm not a Star Wars fanatic but I had star wars toys in the 80s and love the 80s Ewok movie. I've seen some of the old movies and only a couple of the newer ones.
As far as games go, I think the first Star Wars game I played was probably one of the Tie Fighter games on dos in the early 90s. I don't know for certain. One of the first wow Star Wars games I remember was when I watched my cousins and his friends play Shadows of the Empire on the N64.
I may have had others, but the SW game that really sticks in my mind is Jedi Knight Dark Forces 2. I had that on pc way back and loved that game. I never beat the game but I got close and I spent countless hours on that one. The thing I remember is that the world and map levels just felt huge and atmospheric. I later had Jedi Outcast and Academy but never really played them much. I also tried that rpg Star Wars game for the xbox but didn't like it.
I was curious about these Force Unleased games because they are more next generation and use physics engines now and the Euphoria engine. I decided to go ahead with the sequel. I figured it had more fixes and features. Man its been awesome fun. This is really my first next generation Star Wars game.
It has really nice graphics especially in character modeling. The whole Star Wars and Jedi subject matter is really starting to come to life now with today's current technology. The havok physics and Euphoria animation system really lends itself to the Star Wars world. You actually really feel like a powerfull Jedi now with your metal scarring light sabers and telekenisis powers that can fling storm troopers over a ledge or grab a Tie Fighter in mid air and and crush it.
Sorry for the long winded post but this was a pleasant little find. Does anyone haver experience with these games? Will I like the first one?
