FIFI made a visit to Lunken airport in Cincinnati this weekend.

Sorry for these pics...they kept us behind a fence.

Ride in the cockpit for $995.

Short video from Cincinnati Enquirer website, engine start up and some interior shots...

Wow, nice pics for being taken from behind a fence. That's one of the few major American WWII aircraft still flying that I haven't seen in person - will have to find a way to do that.

That is one beautiful plane.
I agree that the pictures came out very nice for being stuck behind the fence. smile

FIFI is pretty much AMAZING to see in person. I've touched the wings before at the Houston airshow. wink

Is FIFI the B-29 the CAF has been restoring down in Midland Texas ? I went though the CAF museum a couple of years ago and they where working on restoring a B-29, and it looked to be fairly close to being done.

They just finished putting new engines in it not too long ago. Saw her at the Joint Services Show at Andrews last month. Pretty cool. The only other B-29 I have seen was the Enola Gay and for some reason Fifi was smaller than I expected.

I've seen the B-29 at the American Air Museum at Duxford. What an advanced plane for its time!
