Here is my completed Trumpeter 1:350 Sovermney Destroyer. It features aftermarket railings and ladders. I tried to weather the hull with a black + Burnt Serria+Cobalt Blue dot wash to give it that service look. I also used some rust around the anchors to show signs of age.

The upper decks were weathered with a pin wash of black +burnt serria. I attached some .10 guage wire as attennas and scratch built the rings and arieal wires that run from the helicopter pad to the main mast as well as the one from the attenna tower down to the helicopter pad.

Thanks Fatty,,,

It took about 2 weeks....give or take 8 months
I actually started last year...but after finishing the first time,,,I was not satisfied with some of my glue joints and since it was also my frist time with photo etched railings I knew I coud do better.

So in October 2010, I started a new one...and 8 months and 2 weeks later,,,vola..

Great model!

And I always liked the look of SU warships of the Cold War.

Beautiful.

Great railing work. So it's about 2-3ft long?
