Not much to do with simming per say, but does look cool.

Good clean fun.
AC is like BFBC but as a pure flight game. I'll probably end up with it.

I was sceptical at first with Ace Combat series (I play hard-core sims most of the time). But when I purchased PS2 a few years back to play GTA LC/VCS and played AC4 I was amazed how much fun this arcade series was. So I bought AC5 and AC0 for PS2 and XBOX360 mostly to play AC6, and I have to say I don't regret it. And I will certainly buy the newsest one.
Sadly had hopes for HAWX1/2, but compared to Ace Combat it is just weak.

Now, I love ace combat as much as the next fellow. I'm looking forward to this game. But I'll be dead honest, these vids make me a little uneasy.

The helicopter footage for instance, that damned helicopter is in the way of the reticle at least 40% of the time. With the jet combat, I cannot possibly imagine controlling that thing when it's zooming in and out. But then there are times where it zooms out and it seems like normal ace combat. Just really confused on how to feel about this!

Don't worry Aladar, from wikipedia.org:

Gameplay

Ace Combat Assault Horizon proposes two control schemes: 'Original' and 'Optimum'.

The 'Original' control setting is similar to the controls in the previous titles under the name 'Expert'. As expected, it gives the player full control of the aircraft, with the left stick making it roll (not turn) when pushed right or left.
The new 'Optimum' controls -the default mode and the one used in all the trailers released so far- is not the equivalent of the usual 'beginner/novice' control style of the series. It prevents the player from doing full rolls but this is to gain the stability needed to get the best of the new ‘Close Range Assault System’.

Ace Combat: Assault Horizon makes the infamous "spamming missile" or "pixel shooting" techniques ineffective now especially when battling against humans. In order to shoot an ace the gameplay now requires the player to either surprise them or to enter close combat. The 'Optimum' mode makes it easier to learn.

In addition to these settings there are many options to tweak the controls and adapt to the player's style. It includes the choice of normal or reverse settings for the Pitch Control, Camera Control, Throttle, Yaw, and the order maps and weapons are cycled through. High G turns return from Ace Combat 6: Fires of Liberation by pushing triggers together, as well as Auto Pilot if both shoulder buttons are held down.

Last, the Flight Assistances provides options to players such as Auto-leveling, Automatic Collision Prevention, Automatic Stall Prevention, Sight Assist, and Automatic Forward Target Selection. These options can be turned on or off.

why would any plane be that low flying through those towers while dog fighting? I could see helo's, but not the F-16s.... Still looks cool, just hope the story line isn't as bad as AC6
