Looking at CMBN on Battlefronts site and the pricing does not make sense, $55 for Steelbook which needs posing from the US so no good for me, and still $55 for digital download! If the publishers want people to be more environmentally friendly and download games then they should be priced accordingly. How can they justify the same price for both? The steelbook edition I can understand but the DD one with no packaging or manual is a total rip-off.

AGREED... been arguing that point forever... they replied once that it's the same cost because of the servers needed to host the downloads.

Battlefront understands their profit and loss much better than the two of you. To be blunt about it; if $55 is really too much for you, then you are in the wrong hobby.

Having a bad day there Enigma?
I don't think it's the cost that Mace has a real issue with. I know for a fact that he is a big games buyer (over 200 on Steam alone).
I don't see why both versions are the same price either for what it's worth.

As Chucky said it's not the price it's the principal. I have bought a few games from BF before and I am pretty sure the DD versions were cheaper, unless I bought during a sale.

And Enigma, I don't really need telling that I am a cheapskate smile so lets keep it friendly.

Sooooo, the plastic case version is the same price as the steelbook version? That's even worse!

EDIT: Someone deleted their post above this one where they stated they have sold out of steelbook versions.

It is called the free market system. They can charge what-ever they like, you have the choice of either buying or not buying. It is as simple as that.

Really? Wow, I'm glad you cleared that up as I thought I had to buy it...

I'm giving my opinion on the price of a game having the same price, released in different formats not being fair. Why keep making inane comments?

When I read your initial comments...I took it as a a whine about BF pricing. Now you can be cheap, that is your right. It is also your right to voice your cheapness. I have the right to call you on your cheapness. I mean seriously...you are quibbling about lowering the price of a $55 software product. It doesn't matter what format it is in. $55 dollars...for a product which will allow you to play soldiers for years to come. You also get the benefit of what-ever the community puts on in support of this product, i.e. scenarios, graphical mods, sound mods, campaigns, online tournaments which are already starting. And to you $55 is too much? How much work did BF put into this? What risk did they take personally and financially? You don't want to risk $55, fine. You want to whine about how unfair the $55 price is...tough.
