I've been really charged by looking at all of the hard work and dedication the people attached to this site have for their 'pits. I always wanted one, now that I can get to work on one, I need a little help with implementation. I'd like to make a multi sim pit, that I can use for multiple games. However, I noticed that someone with the screen name "Lightning" has produced a program to move MFD displays from the main screen of Falcon 4 to smaller 7-8" screens in a pit. I was wondering if there might be a way to do this with older programs, that do not support "moveable" (move the display all over the cockpit) displays like Falcon 4 and Janes F-15. Such as Mechwarrior 4, The Xwing series( Tie Fighter, Xvt, Xwing Alliance. Most of these older games have static GUI displays, that put all info onscreen. I was wondering if it would be possible to isolate the particular pieces, and display them on the smaller screens. Like moving the mech armor or weapons display from their respecive positions, to a separate screen in the sim pit.

Thx in advance, all the DIY in this site is inspirational! I love looking at the work u've done. Especially Choowy's Vulture cockpit, that really got me goin on this hehe.

You know, I don't know if it is possible. I'd be interested in seeing this in A-10.

Possible, quite likely. Easy, probably not. It depends a lot on how the images are shown on screen. each game is different, for some you might be able to grab the texture from the scenegraph stack, for others you probably need to extract the single flight parameters and recreate the image to be displayed. In any case it requires your extractor program to do some fairly nasty things, like going to read memory allocated to something else.

I'd like to show in a secondary monitor the Su-25T Shkval.

You should check out this software from SC Simulations. SC Simulations Helios
I think he offers it for free now. I have had it for a while now and have it working in my pit. One of the features is it allows you to capture any portion of your screen and replicate it somewhere else... like onto a second monitor hidden behind an MFD bezel maybe?? thumbsup
You might have to experiment a little, but it should do the trick!
Good luck!
