I've been hesitating for a while as it's not possible to chose skins they way you're supposed to in the game but on the other hand, they CAN be used via the full missionbuilder. Sooner or later it will be fixed I guess! smile The skins are weathered but still work nicely with the different weathering layers that can be added by the game. It's quite tricky to work with JPG's and the way the engine illuminates the skins. I keep adjusting little things but it's time to share! smile

Herr Hauptmann Farrell,
vielen Danke kammerad!

Was Scholz's aircraft originally 65/70/71 with low demarcation overpainted 02? Unusual that the 02 didn't replace one or other of the greens. Outstanding work!

@CBSKentucky, over at the banana I noticed a screen by you in which you showed the 109 gunnery alignment board with a back drop of sand bags. Have you managed to set a 109 up for calibration?

I believe it was as you say, an early scheme lightened with the use of both RLM65 and RLM02. It seems that JG53 did similar paintjobs on high demarcation RLM02/71 schemes as well so it was not only a way to convert old schemes but something they actually prefered.

Thanks for all the positive feedback!

Great stuff.

What WW2 Fighter pilots say about Angels and Airspeed:

"Nice job of getting down to the basics - love your choice of a cover!" Col. Clarence 'Bud' Anderson

"I have enjoyed reading angels and airspeed, it should prove good reading for all interested in combat tactics and their application related to the fluid air environment and state of technology in WWII years. All the best as you make it available." - Col. Charles McGee - Tuskegee Airman

NEVER ENGAGE STUPID.

I'm sorry, no I have not. I was working with objects in the FMB to set up a gun range but I don't know of any way to set up an aircraft to be able to raise the tail and fire at a stationary calibration board.

I'm suprised something like this is not modelled in the sim.

Kentucky,
frustrating, because all the bits and bobs are there but no method available to bring it all together.
Some one went to a lot of trouble to model what is otherwise very accurate well researched UNUSABLE eye candy.
Unbelievable.

** Apologies to Cpt_Farrell for the high jack**
