Hi,

It's been around ten years since I last played this sim intensively. To tell you the truth, this was my very first flightsim ( I was 15 years old when this sim was released smile ) I actually remember the day when I came home and my dad had bought me this game. The game was sitting in its cardboard covers inside a plastic bag in the hallway. I quickly rushed up the stairs to my room leaving my backpack behind and installed this baby to my old 500mhz pentium III puter biggrin

Anyway enough with the memories of the good old days. I dug this sim out of its dusty grave a couple of days a go and fired it up. I also installed patch 2.0, but I also find some interesting mods that were made for this sime. For example the crowded briefing room, skins and clear glass mods. I was able to install skins with omf-editor and I think I managed to install the clear glass mod aswell. The only mod so far that I wasn't able to install is the crowded briefing room mod, because I don't know which .omf file should I put it into? There was no readme file inside the zip file.

Also can anyone remeber what file do I need to tweak in order to make crew members more vulnerable to "damage". I remeber that I tweaked some file that made the crews suffer more casualties and one or two crew members could be actually KIAd during a mission.

Any other essential mods that I should install?

It's been awhile so my memory not the best.. I think there is a "Front end" omf file in the media folder. There should be file there replace with the editor.

The "RIVERANDROADSDB.LMF" (nicknamed R&R) located in the DATABASES directory of your B-17 install, allows you to tweak just about everything in the game include crew behavior. See the "Parameter.doc" for more info available at Doc's: http://www.angelfire.com/fl5/bombardier/help_links.htm

Sounds like you have the essential mods like the patch and clear glass
You can tweak the R&R to add more enemy and friendly planes and even change the whole character of the sim. The cockpit mods are nice but not essential

Hope this helps...Vox

Thanks VOX.

I managed to find where to put the crowded briefing room file. I'll take a look at the R&R file when I get home.

This sim has been so fun to play after all these years. The athmospehere is great when the flak shelling starts and radio comm's is full of chattering.
