Fun, especially up until I took damage to the turbo while avoiding the spinners at the 2nd yellow. The frustration from that led to mistakes. Always seems that I end up more damaged than the cars I was trying to avoid.

My goal for the race was to finish with no damage and let the positions fall where they may. Mission accomplished on that front. biggrin

I saved fuel a lap too long though - I could've raised the boost with two laps to go, instead of just with one...but I'm always a bit foggy on the lapcounter and how many laps are really left.

Costly pit road error by me on exit cost me a better finish. Matthias, Lugnut, Birdski and I all pitted together. Everyone but me came out the same way they went in. I spun out on the exit of my box.

Great race overall. I think I need to see a doctor after seeing my life flash before my eyes several times.

Great job to Matthias!

More than your 10, but less than my prediction of 15. sigh

Thank you for the congratulations! :-)

I really enjoyed this race and I had a lot of fun racing with you, thanks a lot!
It was some hard work to keep the pace and after the last pit stop I almost missed the point to start saving fuel. Somehow it worked out in the end. I am feeling quite exhausted right now, but still very happy. :-)

Again, thank you very much and see you next time!

I am glad I had the time to make this race, I have been running a season of the Formula BMW's over at Speedracin and we have run 3 ovals so I was happy to get on track with some more power and speed. I ran into the same problem as PK as I had to pit right when a yellow came out, I was already headed into pit lane when the yellow came out but the "pit closed" message had not come up so I decided to keep on to my pit stall. Well it did not work as it would not allow me to fuel so I had to go around again on lowest boost and low speed and I had enough to get back to pit entrance with a liter or so but I still had to wait at pit entrance for it to open.

This kept me back with the second group of cars and even though we were not in contact the whole time we all seemed to pit at different times towards the end and swapped places. I had to come in for a splash at the end, I had skipped one yellow flag stop which ended up costing me a spot at the finish.

Thanks to Joe & Alex for the setups, Doug & SimHQ for the event and congrats to Matthias for the win today.

Exellent win Matthias, well done!! clapping

I'd taylored my endgame around the fact that I was expecting the 3 leaders to pit again. Very well done to Matt, Lugnut and Birdski for eeking out the fuel for those extra couple of laps. I mounted an enthusiastic charge towards the end but it was a lap too late.

Overall that was a very fun race and i'm happy with 4th given that open wheelers really aren't my bag and i haven't done this kind of racing for a LONG time.

Many congrats to everyone today, apart from a few genuine mistakes, the standard of driving was very high. Many thanks PK for helping to organise this and especially Doug for putting up with our antics over the last few sessions.

Did you run to the kitchen after it was over and grab some milk out of the refrigerator? biggrin

I contented myself with some sparkling mineral water with orange juice. But I will try some milk next time! hahaha
