I live near Alliance Airport, near Dallas Texas, and I'm used to seeing some pretty exotic airplanes fly over my house. Sit in my back yard, and F-18's, T-38's, C-130's, a B-25, C-47, are just some that you may see flying over my house. The Air Force made an appearence, not too long ago, and a couple of A-10's where shooting take offs and landings. Cool.
The Naval Air Station and a couple of air museums , nearby, use Alliance a lot, for some reason. Maybe the wide runway. It's where my instructor took me, for my first few hours of taildragger time , too....just to be safe!
But I was not ready for what I saw today. I'm mowing my lawn, and I heard a sound that made me look up. DAMN!! A B29!
I called my wife to grab her camera. I was as excited as a little kid. I've neve seen a Superfort in the air, before. She was a real sport, and kept snapping pictures every time he flew over. He just went around again and

What a thrill that was for a aviation nut like me. I had always thought that Fifi was part of Confederate Air Forces, Midland Oddessa, wing. I just found out that it's based just a few miles away from me in Addison. Sheesh! I'm gonna have to go and see 'er.
