The latest 11.4 AMD graphics driver is available.

Catalyst Control Center is no more. Now its called "AMD VISION Engine Control Center".

The new AVECC is very similar to the last CCC, but different in a couple ways. Eyefinity may be easier to set up now. And, other changes.

I'm hoping it fixes the display driver crashes I was getting in Win 7 with my many monitors and profiles I was trying to set up...

Thank goodness... I think part of the issue was also related to my Crossfire'd cards not being exactly the same. Thing is, Cat 10.12 worked great for me! But any of the 11 series of drivers introduced the CCC display driver crash when setting up monitor profiles or changing settings on my 3 monitors and TV.

The name change only applies for AMD/ATI CPU/GPU combinations.

For Intel/ATI combo, it is still CCC.

Well when I updated my graphics card drivers the CCC just vanished with no substitute. Now all I have from ATI in my Start menu is some 'ATI Stream SDK v2'. Luckily, I never used the CCC anyhow, I just leave all my settings default.

@Flyboy

Would you care to try this set of drivers to get your CCC back?

http://www.mediafire.com/?49nyfbi6egzd0ix

These are 11.4 Rel. 8.841 pre WHQL driver package.

They are essentially the same official release without the MS WHQL certificate. These pre-release packages tend to be more complete (SDK, VC++, Video overlay, etc. included) since they are self contained for testing purposes.

You can try uninstalling your current drivers through Control Panel. No Driver cleaners required. Reboot and install these. The drivers do not request a reboot upon install, but go ahead and do that. Check if you have CCC back. If you do, you may keep them (these are actually the one's I'm currently using and don't plan installing the official ones), or uninstall and install whatever version you like. CCC should work from then on.

If you rather keep things as they are...well that's fine too I guess. thumbsup

EDIT: Never mind, I see you already installed a package with the SDK, so this may be redundant then. Oh well...

I avoid the packages with the SDK as they resulted in intermittent issues for me. And, I have no use for the SDK or OpenCL, yet.

I download the complete package that is second from the top at the AMD driver site.

Since I don't have 100 systems in my house to try, I can't say that this is the best package -- its merely the one I use.

If I were not interested in CCC or AVECC, I, personally, would simply install the bare driver (but I haven't had to do this):

Again, since I don't test this in a "big" lab, its only FWIW.

I made links to the packages, but AMD would not allow them. So, sorry about that.

Just curious on what type of intermittent issues. Never had issues myself.

Is it related to Crossfire or Multi-monitor setup? I don't use those.

I wonder if AMD finally got v-sync to work yet. Something I havent seen from ATI working for years now. I have to use that overrider program for games that don't have built in v-sync.
