It was with Crossfire + Eyefinity when running benchmarks. I really forget the problems -- odd as I remember most things. As soon as I noticed them, I changed drivers and forgot about it.
Now, maybe its no longer an issue. But, I have no need; so, I still use the standard driver package.
I don't fear OpenCL or SDK when the time comes to actually use them for something.

@Flyboy Would you care to try this set of drivers to get your CCC back? http://www.mediafire.com/?49nyfbi6egzd0ix These are 11.4 Rel. 8.841 pre WHQL driver package. They are essentially the same official release without the MS WHQL certificate. These pre-release packages tend to be more complete (SDK, VC++, Video overlay, etc. included) since they are self contained for testing purposes. You can try uninstalling your current drivers through Control Panel. No Driver cleaners required. Reboot and install these. The drivers do not request a reboot upon install, but go ahead and do that. Check if you have CCC back. If you do, you may keep them (these are actually the one's I'm currently using and don't plan installing the official ones), or uninstall and install whatever version you like. CCC should work from then on. If you rather keep things as they are...well that's fine too I guess. EDIT: Never mind, I see you already installed a package with the SDK, so this may be redundant then. Oh well... Thanks, that's nice of you to provide me with those drivers. No, I haven't fixed the issue, the SDK is what came with the current drivers I'm using that removed my CCC. For now, I will just leave everything as it is though, because as I said, I never used the CCC anyhow. As I said in another topic, when your video card is no longer new and exciting, ATI/nVidea simply provide graphics card drivers for a complete series and not specific models. I think that's what's happened here, because my card is the ATI HD 3670, there are no longer specific drivers for the specific sub-models of the 3xxx series. And like I experienced years ago with nVidea, when this happens, a lot of stuff gets stripped out. Thanks again.

It would be nice if they eventually get their head around game-specific profiles and automatically applying them to the game.

It would be nice if they eventually get their head around game-specific profiles and automatically applying them to the game. Perhaps AMD does some of what you request already. AMD/ATI includes game specific optimizations in the drivers -- and has for a long time. Of course, those are typically aimed at recent games and using recent (e.g. HD5xxx and HD6xxx) cards. Because the "offical" driver package is WHQL certified which takes 3 months, the game specific stuff can be 3 months behind the curve. To provide up-to-date profiles, they now put out a monthly (or more often) package of "profiles" for various games -- which are applied automatically. For example, the latest: ATI Catalyst Application Profiles 0.5 MB 11.3 CAP5 4/25/2011 ... Info, for what its worth.

On a quick update to what Allen said, the latest CAP are 11.4 CAP1 and can be found here: http://www.rage3d.com/cap/ If this is your first time using them, make sure to check the FAQs on that link. And regarding custom application settings, this is a very good tool for ATI users: http://www.radeonpro.info/en-US/ Radeon Profile Tool, or RadeonPro for short, is a free, user friendly utility designed to unleash the power of AMD™ Radeon™ video graphics cards. RadeonPro applies user defined profiles upon game start, just define once the desired 3D settings for each game and have all those settings applied every time you play, automatically!
Featuring basic 3D controls for everybody's use and advanced controls like Scripting, Driver Compatibility feature, Compabitility profiles for Anti-Aliasing and CrossfireX, allowing advanced users to automate tasks like overclocking before gaming, and things not possible before like forcing Anti-Aliasing on games not yet supported by the Catalyst driver. RadeonPro can also help CrossfireX users to force multi-GPU utilization in games not supported by the driver, improving your games performance with a few clicks.
Other features include support for OSD functions to show framerate counter while gaming, take screenshots with the press of a key to register your gaming moments, benchmark your games, display the CrossfireX bar to quickly see how good is your CrossfireX system performing, all in one free tool! You can find support from the author at the Guru3D website.

Bip, yep that's what I meant. "Applies user defined profiles upon game start". The ATI Tray Tools are not supported under Win7, will have to check if this is.

The latest beta of ATI Tray Tools is Win7 compatible, I'm using it. However, the latest CCC is still crashing on me whenever I try to create profiles, and select monitors when they're not made into a group...

Win7 compatible as in does not require to authorize unsigned drivers in Dev mode?

I turn off UAC, and it works great. UAC is a huge PITA, and since Vista I turn it off...
