TX-Squadron is flying Cliffs of Dover. TX-Squadron was one of the very first Il2 Sturmovik Squadrons, established in 2002. Our members are active in many simulations, but primarily focus on Cliffs of Dover, Il2 Sturmovik, Condor and Rise of Flight.
Our public Teamspeak3 server address is 22.214.171.124 port 9987
We accept member candidates of all skill and experience levels. We maintain a close working relationship with TeamUSA http://www.flytusa.com/ in Il2-Sturmovik, and several of our members can always be found in their activities.
The rotary could not re-circulate oil,so it had to dump it out onto the airframe. Castor oil, consequently, covered the entire aircraft after a short time. Even worse, atomized caster oil blew into the cockpit and impregnated the pilot. Pilots needed scarves to clean their goggles and faces. Since castor oil is a laxative, pilots suffered serious consequences after a few hours of flight. But such was the need for maximum power
The [Angels] squad are World War 2 Air Combat aficionados who seek to learn historical tactics and fight virtual air combat events as a cohesive tactical unit.
With a published training manual reviewed by WW2 air combat aces and veterans - "Angels and Airspeed" - the squad trains all members to a high level of proficiency over many courses, totalling 41 weeks of training. This training ensures that an [Angels] squad member will be a deadly adversary who knows how to not only fight effectively as an individual but as a member of a pair, flight or package.
Our primary simulations is IL2 Sturmovik but we will be switching focus to Cliffs of Dover.
We aim to fly and fight with Full realism settings where practical - learning real world techniques to coordinate and identify rather than rely on the crutch of unrealistic settings. This makes things challenging but that challenge is offset by the reward of achievement.
The guiding principles of the squad are the following: Honesty- Do not cheat. Earn our accolades.
Integrity - Behave in a just and humane manner. Be forthright and without cowardice.
Tolerance - [Angels] are a secular squad - we welcome all regardless of background or belief. Members are expected to respect each other even when in disagreement. All forms of Bigotry are unwelcome.
Teamwork - Work with your squadmates. Whether it is making aircraft skins, creating missions, organising events or simply covering a squadmate's six.
Training - Members can attend training working through established and proven training material. Combat roles in online events are assigned based upon the training a member has. Training is not compulsory.
Professionalism - A professional attitude in members is expected. Stay informed on squad events by regularly checking in. Attendence requirements are lax - reflecting the busy lives many of our members live.
Equality - All members of the squad are equals, though members are assigned combat roles as they progress through training, or day to day administrative roles necessary for the squad's operation.
Courage - To deal with issues, not avoid them.
The [Angels] squad looks to establish a legacy and reputation for excellence in WW2 Air Combat Simulations.

Some of us in the Jasta 2 squadron from ROF are getting pretty excited about CoD, so we decided for a change of pace to start a CoD squad that was British! We will be flying as 609 Squadron RAF in CoD.
Most of us have been flying together for a year or so in Rise of Flight and are always glad to talk with new blood. We are a mix of Euros, Brits, Americans and even a Canadian who can be found flying and fighting at all kinds of odd hours. wink
Just thought I'd introduce us on this forum and say hello.
I've worked on creating a 609 Squadron Website and am adding new contant every day.
If any unattached chaps are interested in 609 squadron (or Jasta 2 for that matter) then hop on over to our forums and drop us a line on our website or forum:

A pretty simple affair, basically a persona-tracking setup based upon the DiD principle for axis pilots into sneaky precision bombing raids. It'll swing into operation when/if the game becomes playable online.

Currently heavily involved in IL_2, especially HSFX and SEOW, but will be flying Cliffs of Dover as well - once things settle down a bit. We'll be flying our Hurricanes out of Duxford (or would if it was on the map!)
Once upon a time there was dunkelgrun...
When the sim offers stable multiplayer we will be actively campaigning.
If you join now we can talk about the Battle of Britain and fly IL-2 :-)
Seriously many of us have been waiting for this sim so we could experience WWII air combat with full engine management and the other little details that sims have not had in the past. Right now you can only get the full real feel in DCS A10 and we support that sim as well.
Welcome to the 69 Gvardeiskii Istrebiteinii Aviatsionnii Polk of the Voyenno-Vozdushnye Sily First is to explain a little about who the 69th are, and what they do: The 69th Gv.IAP squad started up around August of 2003 and was founded by a number of players led by Skulls_Yanev (now with the callsign ROSHKO) who were a part of the European section of the Skull's Squad. Over the last seven years we have established a capability that is almost unique in the online flying world, which is to carry out full combined operations. This involves strategic bombing, tactical ground attack, fighter escort and interceptor missions both from land bases and carrier borne ops. An online war mission will include several or all of these elements. We regularily field 20 plus human pilots in competition against other squadrons. So if you are looking for flying with a purpose rather than mindless online furballs… If you are wondering what it feels like to fly with and against human opponents then look no further:
Really, what we are looking for are pilots who are willing to work together not for personal glory, but for the success of the squad, and the success of the mission.
We fly in European, Transatlantic and Amerika timezones with online war missions on both Sundays and Wednesdays. Training missions are run once a week and most days you will find pilots doing something or just out looking for trouble.
Unlike many squadrons we do not have a minimum age but we do expect under 18s to have parental approval. We have pilots aged between 13 and 65+ (and sometimes it’s hard to tell who is the “youngest”). What counts is not how good you are but what effort you are putting in and how much fun you are getting out of it. We offer one on one basic flight training with real life pilots, specialist off and on-line weapons delivery training plus structured military formation and combat training with a real life airforce instructor. How far you want to go depends on what you put in, but don’t worry what counts most is having fun so if you just want to blow stuff up you will find some like minded souls…
The squad has a dedicated technical infrastructure with a powerful server in a commercial datacentre with high speed internet access. This manages large co-op and dogfight missions plus voice communications for the squadron.
We are currently actively building two new online campaigns, one for RoF and the other for Cliffs of Dover. This is in conjunction with our regular involvement in several SEOW campaigns. Visit our homepage and you will realise, this is the squadron home you have been looking for. From newbies to veterans we all are equal.
68 sq."The FoxBats" are looking for new members and squads to team up/fight with as well. A little about us, what we do.
68 sq."The FoxBats" is looking for members. Do you like flying twin engine, fighters, dive bombers and maybe a few level bombers? Then we want you! We fly Axis and Allied as needed. Through Hyper lobby/Xfire for servers and direct connect host. We are an international squadron and we fly all kind of planes for both sides, on public servers and on our own server. The focus is on getting the job done and returning to base. To that end we try not to "conga line", flying together with the same load out and fuel. Preferring the realistic settings and limited icons, using the gauges not the speed bar when ever possible for that full immersion effect. We will fly on other settings as the server dictates or the host does for that night.
Skill or no skill, we can help in anyway needed. We try to fly as historically correct as we can in IL2/with mods.(UP3.0 RC4) Also we fly Rise of Flight and Cliffs of Dover We don't have an official game. We'll play just about any air combat game. Buying all the games that we use is not a requirement. Members may participate in our activities limited to games that they own.
Just visit our website/forum to get started. We are now seeking new members and squads to fight with, come check us out at http://www.thefoxbats.ch/forums See you in the skies <S> Logan
We also have a Zerstörer or destroyer unit who fly the deadly Bf110 heavy fighter. Heavily armoured, heavily armed and able to carry a large pay load, these juggernauts of the sky can perform a large selection of tasks with ease. From destroying ground targets to decimating formations of enemy bombers, there is not allot of things 9./ZG26 can't achieve when 5./JG27 is around.
We are looking for mature members aged 18+ primarily from Europe who enjoy playing online competitively in campaigns and dog fights as well as unit versus unit matches/scrims. We fly when ever we can but Saturdays 20:00 GMT is our group weekly session. We also have an Optional flying session on Wednesdays at 20:00 GMT. We are also online in ATAG's "full switch" (Full Realism) server anytime Friday and Sunday. We use Teamspeak 3 to speak over net and all members are invited to come on and have a good time if were flying or not!
We are recruiting all skill levels! But we fly full switch settings and always with closed cockpits!
We operate a continual career program where by you are credited achievements and victories based on historical criteria if you survive the mission and at least make it back to friendly lines. If you die or are captured you get nothing for the sortie. This helps to create a realistic sense of engagement from our members and discourages bad flying routines in return for kills. Teamwork is a very big factor for us, in fact its the basis of everything we do. We also publish the exploits of our pilots in our newspaper - Die Zeitung. Here is one of our past editions covering action in the BoB Campaign:
Please have a good look around our web page and forums before applying. The only thing we want is those with a passion to fly!
SvAF is an abbrevation of "Swedish Virtual Arforce" and started out as a non-offical group back in 2009 consisting of the virtual squadrons F16VS and F19VS.
F19VS and F16VS have been flying together since 2003 and for many members our squadrons have always felt as one, even though there has always been some kind of sibling rivalty amongst us.
As time progressed our squadrons got tighter and tighter. Even though we had our own squad tags ("F16_" and "F19_") and our own sites ("www.f16vs.se" and "www.f19vs.se") we felt that we needed some kind of term to descibe us as a group. In 2009 the term "SvAF" surfaced, and was used loosely to group our squadrons together.
After two years (2011) we have decided to make SvAF more offical, thus merging our homesites to one. Our individual squadrons still exists though. We are keeping our squad tags but henceforth SvAF is our offical "joint venture" so to speak.
F19 Virtual Squadron, now a part of SvAF (Swedish Virtual Airforce) consists of a couple of flightsim-enthusiasts, regularly playing the excellent flightsim "Il-2 Sturmovik Forgotten Battles" with all additions and "IL2 Cliffs of Dover". We have been around as a group since 2003.
We, as many other virtual squadrons found on the net, decided to build our unit based on a real squadron from WWII. As the initative for this squadron came from Sweden, it was only natural that we built it on the Swedish Volunteer Unit "F19", a squadron consisting of volunteers who fought for the Finnish cause during the Winter War 1939-1940.
We are NOT an elitesquadron, that is a squadron who only recruits TOP-OF-THE-ART-pilots. The main objective is to create a community around flying online and having great fun in doing just that.
We in SvAF have predominatly been flying IL2 1946, but slowly getting into CloD.. You might have seen a few of us in ATAG server..
We welcome players from all over Europe and of all skill levels. Our ethos is to have fun as a part of a like minded community. Although we were an IL2 Community (and an EAW community before that) we are now fully involved in Cliffs of Dover and Rise of Flight. 92 Squadron for example no longer play IL2 at all.
Our flying nights are Mondays and Thursdays 21:00-24:00 CET
