TX-Squadron is flying Cliffs of Dover. TX-Squadron was one of the very first Il2 Sturmovik Squadrons, established in 2002.
Our members are active in many simulations, but primarily focus on Cliffs of Dover, Il2 Sturmovik, Condor and Rise of Flight.

Our public Teamspeak3 server address is 69.56.198.2 port 9987

We accept member candidates of all skill and experience levels. We maintain a close working relationship with TeamUSA http://www.flytusa.com/ in Il2-Sturmovik, and several of our members can always be found in their activities.

We fly all sides, all aircraft types.

Stop by and visit our website http://www.txsquadron.com/forum/index.php and register for our forums. Leave a post in the CoD section letting us know your interested - or just stop by and chat on TS3.

S!

The rotary could not re-circulate oil,so it had to dump it out onto the airframe. Castor oil, consequently, covered the entire aircraft after a short time. Even worse, atomized caster oil blew into the cockpit and impregnated the pilot. Pilots needed scarves to clean their goggles and faces. Since castor oil is a laxative, pilots suffered serious consequences after a few hours of flight. But such was the need for maximum power

The [Angels] squad are World War 2 Air Combat aficionados who seek to learn historical tactics and fight virtual air combat events as a cohesive tactical unit.

With a published training manual reviewed by WW2 air combat aces and veterans - "Angels and Airspeed" - the squad trains all members to a high level of proficiency over many courses, totalling 41 weeks of training. This training ensures that an [Angels] squad member will be a deadly adversary who knows how to not only fight effectively as an individual but as a member of a pair, flight or package.

Our primary simulations is IL2 Sturmovik but we will be switching focus to Cliffs of Dover.

We aim to fly and fight with Full realism settings where practical - learning real world techniques to coordinate and identify rather than rely on the crutch of unrealistic settings. This makes things challenging but that challenge is offset by the reward of achievement.

The guiding principles of the squad are the following:
Honesty- Do not cheat. Earn our accolades.

Integrity - Behave in a just and humane manner. Be forthright and without cowardice.

Tolerance - [Angels] are a secular squad - we welcome all regardless of background or belief. Members are expected to respect each other even when in disagreement. All forms of Bigotry are unwelcome.

Teamwork - Work with your squadmates. Whether it is making aircraft skins, creating missions, organising events or simply covering a squadmate's six.

Training - Members can attend training working through established and proven training material. Combat roles in online events are assigned based upon the training a member has. Training is not compulsory.

Professionalism - A professional attitude in members is expected. Stay informed on squad events by regularly checking in. Attendence requirements are lax - reflecting the busy lives many of our members live.

Equality - All members of the squad are equals, though members are assigned combat roles as they progress through training, or day to day administrative roles necessary for the squad's operation.

Courage - To deal with issues, not avoid them.

The [Angels] squad looks to establish a legacy and reputation for excellence in WW2 Air Combat Simulations.

Some of us in the Jasta 2 squadron from ROF are getting pretty excited about CoD, so we decided for a change of pace to start a CoD squad that was British! We will be flying as 609 Squadron RAF in CoD.

Most of us have been flying together for a year or so in Rise of Flight and are always glad to talk with new blood. We are a mix of Euros, Brits, Americans and even a Canadian who can be found flying and fighting at all kinds of odd hours. wink

Just thought I'd introduce us on this forum and say hello.

I've worked on creating a 609 Squadron Website and am adding new contant every day.

If any unattached chaps are interested in 609 squadron (or Jasta 2 for that matter) then hop on over to our forums and drop us a line on our website or forum:

www.609RAF.com

Or hop on ventrilo for a visit at:

A pretty simple affair, basically a persona-tracking setup based upon the DiD principle for axis pilots into sneaky precision bombing raids. It'll swing into operation when/if the game becomes playable online.

242 Squadron

Currently heavily involved in IL_2, especially HSFX and SEOW, but will be flying Cliffs of Dover as well - once things settle down a bit. We'll be flying our Hurricanes out of Duxford (or would if it was on the map!)

cheers

When the sim offers stable multiplayer we will be actively campaigning.

If you join now we can talk about the Battle of Britain and fly IL-2 :-)

Seriously many of us have been waiting for this sim so we could experience WWII air combat with full engine management and the other little details that sims have not had in the past. Right now you can only get the full real feel in DCS A10 and we support that sim as well.

Please take the time to check us out.

Welcome to the 69 Gvardeiskii Istrebiteinii Aviatsionnii Polk of the Voyenno-Vozdushnye Sily
First is to explain a little about who the 69th are, and what they do:
The 69th Gv.IAP squad started up around August of 2003 and was founded by a number of players led by Skulls_Yanev (now with the callsign ROSHKO) who were a part of the European section of the Skull's Squad.
Over the last seven years we have established a capability that is almost unique in the online flying world, which is to carry out full combined operations. This involves strategic bombing, tactical ground attack, fighter escort and interceptor missions both from land bases and carrier borne ops. An online war mission will include several or all of these elements. We regularily field 20 plus human pilots in competition against other squadrons. So if you are looking for flying with a purpose rather than mindless online furballs…
If you are wondering what it feels like to fly with and against human opponents then look no further:

Visit our website Our Home

Really, what we are looking for are pilots who are willing to work together not for personal glory, but for the success of the squad, and the success of the mission.

We fly in European, Transatlantic and Amerika timezones with online war missions on both Sundays and Wednesdays. Training missions are run once a week and most days you will find pilots doing something or just out looking for trouble.

Unlike many squadrons we do not have a minimum age but we do expect under 18s to have parental approval. We have pilots aged between 13 and 65+ (and sometimes it’s hard to tell who is the “youngest”). What counts is not how good you are but what effort you are putting in and how much fun you are getting out of it.
We offer one on one basic flight training with real life pilots, specialist off and on-line weapons delivery training plus structured military formation and combat training with a real life airforce instructor. How far you want to go depends on what you put in, but don’t worry what counts most is having fun so if you just want to blow stuff up you will find some like minded souls…

The squad has a dedicated technical infrastructure with a powerful server in a commercial datacentre with high speed internet access. This manages large co-op and dogfight missions plus voice communications for the squadron.

We are currently actively building two new online campaigns, one for RoF and the other for Cliffs of Dover.
This is in conjunction with our regular involvement in several SEOW campaigns.
Visit our homepage and you will realise, this is the squadron home you have been looking for.
From newbies to veterans we all are equal.
