Allied campaign starts in and around hangars. At least one German campaign start location is OK for me.
However my campaign missions are running in half-speed! No stutter, no other detrimental FX problems, I can pan normally with TIR4, it just runs in slow-motion.

I can exit the campaign mission, go to QMB and see normal speed with same A/C. Up till now I have NEVER had this problem, and never heard anyone mention it. My install of V9.1 is stock, no config changes, however with V8 I had seriously increased the number of flights and number of different aircraft to no ill-effect. Has V9.1 really upped the ante???

The question everyone dreads asking; am I the only one???

Yep - I fixed it in 9.1 and then promptly broke it with the next fix. Sorry about that but it happens sometimes. It's fixed again - I just uploaded 9.2 for this issue. Apologies for multiple releases in one day, but I thought this one was worth it.

I tested with several oddball airfields such as Bertangles, Rouencourt, St Omer, etc. They worked.

P.S. While this bug would kill ground starts at oddball airfields 9.1 should work for most fields.

2005AD: issue noted.

Question: given the bug fixes are people finding that there is an adequate amount of action. If no, have you upped the odds of an opposing flight and max number of opposing flights? If still no, please give details as possible.

From main screen select Configuration
--> Select Mission Limits
Check flight opposition odds
Check Max opposing FLights

Thanks.

I have flown three missions and have met opposition in each mission.

Mission 1: DH2 Baloon bust mission. 2 DH2s tasked to destroy an enemy baloon, the baloon was covered by 2 flights of 2 Fokker E.IIIs. My flight leader went fot the baloon and I died trying to fight the 4 Fokkers.

Mission 2: DFW C.V recon mission. No opposition until we returned from the mission to see our airbase under attack by Nieuport 11s. There were Fokker E.IIIs engaging them.

Mission 3: DFW C.V. bombing mission. Opposition of 2 or 3 flights of Nieuport 11s over target area.

So far for me there has been plenty of opposition flights encountered.

9.2 did the trick and my campaign missions are no longer slow motion. Thank you. I compared the config file between ver9 and my modded ver8, and found that the modded v8 settings would create potentially many more airplanes in the air. So still no idea why slow motion in v9, was anyone else was experiencing it. Anyways...

A v9.2 mission at Bertangles resulted in this start situation: no Bertangles. At least we all could take off. BTW Plenty of action!!!

For me the time advance feature is not working. I can select 2x etc but the speed stays at 1x, just he sounds fade.

Is there a fix for this?

This is a known issue going waay back. No fix because of the number of other flights in the air and processor resources. Each flight requires the same computing power as your flight, and x2 requires more than can be provided. So for these campaign missions you have to fly it all! Which is not necessarily a bad thing, if you have the time...

That has to do with in game performance. Go through the configs and disable some settings.

Some tips:
Turn off front machine guns.
Turn off airfield AAA
Reduce the number of friendly flights
Reduce the number of enemy flights

Thanks for the really quick fix, Pat!

Just back from a weekend trip. Will try it out Monday.
