I bought a newtonian refractor telescope (Meade) a while back. It works great but Im having trouble just to calibrate it. I tell it to point to the moon and it points in the oposite direction. Anyone have experince with these?

Which model do you have? Also, what method are you using to do the initial alignment (one or two star alignment)? GoTo mounts are great when you get the hang of setting them up accurately, but they can also be rather frustrating when you start out.
