Was browsing Gamersgate and a few other sites & comparing prices. I notice that the blurb for X3 Gold says it comes with all add ons. I wasn't aware that there are add ons.
Here's the deal - I' perfectly happy with X3 TC as from what I understand playing X3 is a long-term thing. But if there add ons I may want to splurge a bit more for X3 Gold, although I might not be able to play X3 R.
So what would you advise.

PS - I'm aware there's a new X game in the making.

The addons are free and included in the patches so if you already have TC then you don't need it, plus if you have TC playing X3R isn't worth it. TC is head and shoulders above it.

I can't play Reunion without a road map, a guide and a flowchart---just for the menu navigation!
TC got it right it seems.

If you start playing TC, go get the cockpit mod. Adds a lot to it and looks pretty nice. Unique cockpits.

If only they'd add Track IR support to the X3 games... I don't see what their problem is with it. If you mention it on the X3 forums the admins will threaten to ban you for it.
