I fear that killed other replies. So on topic: I doubt a sim will have the option, unless it'll be just PR calling the game a sim.

The welding was a funny typo! biggrin

Back on topic, i don´t dual wielding will be in any sim or a realistic shooter. I found the ghillie suit and the sights episode the most interesting. The Ghillie suit in COD has given me many a laugh, since it doesn´t really work crouched, unless you are in a bush. biggrin

The sights episode was most interesting since i didn´t knew all about the sights. You have those hybrid sights, but could a soldier also carrier multiple sights like an ACOG (my favourite) for ranged combat and a holographic sight for close quarters Combat? And switch them via the pinnacity rails?

You can slap on as many sights as you want. You can slap on a high powered scope on the top, a red dot on the side, and 2 ACOGs on the bottom if you wanted to. It won't be practical at all, but it is possible.

And most mounts/sights will not hold zero if you pull them off. So if you pull off an ACOG to put on an Eotech, the EOtech will not be zeroed. In other words, it will be useless. Likewise, you can't just put your ACOG back on as it would have lost zero to. Not all mounts are quick detatchable either. Some of them require a screw driver. Even for those sights that you can quick swap, you generally wouldn't do it during battle.

Though some people do use multiple sights. A lot of people use ACOGs as their primary, and put a canted mount on the right or left of the rifle and put an Aimpoint Micro there. When they get in close ranges, they tilt their rifle sideways slightly to use the close range sights. That said, it is not that common.

That 'ballistic knife' in the Melee and Knives video sucks bad, reminded me of a toy knife I had when I was a kid with a retractable blade so you could 'stab' someone down to the hilt - only this thing makes the blade come forwards and out!

Thanks for clearing that up Flogger. cheers I meant the second option you cleared up, with the exchanging of sights. The first one wouldn´t make much sense as you said, it would make the rifle heavier and unwieldlable. I liked the ACOG version in Arma2, with the small reflector sight on top. I don´t like the red dot or reflectors to much, i like to keep my distance! biggrin
