Seems like the view is zoomed in too forward. My resolution is 5760 x 1200.

My menus are fine. They all appear in the center monitor.

Ok my menus are good now, but I have to fly with CrossfireX disabled otherwise I get flashy mouse and screens in the main menu. So now I get the main menu on all three screens. In-flight tho all is well.

FYI when asked about eyefinity on the thirdwire forums, TK's response was "what's that?" I'm not kidding.

LOL
I am googling "eyefinity" in another tab right now, because I have no idea what it is either!!
EDIT:
OK, I see. Of no use to me, I can't afford that many monitors.

FYI when asked about eyefinity on the thirdwire forums, TK's response was "what's that?" I'm not kidding. Agreed. It's fine for a user to be ignorant to it, but a developer at least should be aware that the tech is out there, especially for simmers.

Found a Fix!, Right before I decided to call it a night, i had an random thought if common sense...
Update: First Make Sure your Total Aspect Ratio in your options.ini is correct For Figuring out your aspect ratio (in case people run different resolutions), Aspect Ratio = Horizontal Resolution Divided By Vertical Resolution. So, 5760x1200, 5700/1200=4.8.
or 16:10 (Aspect Ratio) Times 3:1 (Display Grid, 3 Wide x 1 Tall) = 48:10 / 10 to simplify = 4.8:1.0 (or 4.8)
Second, The Default FOV is 60, Max is 120 (2x FOV), Runnign 3 Screens is 3X FOV, so I Had to change the Max FOV to 180 from 120, which allowed the Cockpit to display w/ close to the default Zoom and the Correct Aspect Ratio, To have it Zoomed Out to where the Whole Radar Scope Display is Visible at Default Level, I Had to Set it to 240
So,
1. Extract the Viewlist.ini from the FlightData.CAT
2. Open Viewlist.ini
3. Goto ViewClass2,
Change: MaxFOV=120.0
To: MaxFOV=240.0
Repeat for ViewClass3
4. Save The Viewlist.ini to the user Mods Folder: -Win7 /Users/<UserName>/Saved Games/Thirdwire/<StrikeFighers2 Game Folder>/Flight/ -WinXP /Documents And Settings/<UserName>/My Documents/Thirdwire/,StrikeFighters2 Game Folder>/Flight/
make Sure Your resolution is Correct and your Aspect Ratio as well.
Boot and Voila:

The SLI/XFire Issue is beyond my fixing, and I get Flickering in a few games with XFire enabled on Eyefinity.
Its most likely a driver issue that AMD/ATI needs to fix, send them a Support Email.

Got to finally trying this but had no success. It's definitely something I'm doing. What is your aspect ration and resolution set to from within the game's options menu? I've made the maxfov edits and placed the viewlist.ini file into the Flight folder in my mods directory. This is a copy and paste from the ini:

These are my settings:
[GraphicsOptions] DisplayWidth=5760 DisplayHeight=1200 AspectRatio=1.600000
I've also tried AspectRatio=1.250000 with the same resolution and it does zoom the cockpit out a little, but no where near what it should be. Thanks!

For 5760x1200, the Aspect Ratio should be 4.800000
For Figuring out your aspect ratio (in case people run different resolutions), Aspect Ratio = Horizontal Resolution Divided By Vertical Resolution. So, 5760x1200, 5700/1200=4.8.
or 16:10 (Aspect Ratio) Times 3:1 (Display Grid, 3 Wide x 1 Tall) = 48:10 / 10 to simplify = 4.8:1.0 (or 4.8)

So I must be doing something wrong. My screen looks like this still: Here is the relevant Options.ini from the SF2 Mod file: [GraphicsOptions] DisplayDeviceID=0 DisplayWidth=5760 DisplayHeight=1080 DisplayDepth=32 AspectRatio=5.333 AntiAliasing=2 ForceDX9=FALSE ForceVSyncOff=FALSE LensFlare=0 DetailLevel=2 ObjectDetail=2 ObjectTexture=2 CockpitTexture=2 CockpitMirrors=1 CockpitReflection=1 EffectsDetail=2 TerrainDetail=2 TerrainTexture=2 HorizonDistance=2 GroundObjectDensity=2 WaterDetail=2 CloudsDetail=2 Shadow=2 ObjectsFade=TRUE
And from Viewlist, saved to the Mods/Flight folder [ViewClass002] ViewClassName=CockpitViewClass ViewType=FIXED_VIEW ViewGroupID=1 DefaultView=CockpitFront AllowFromDiffGroup=TRUE SnapView=FALSE InsideView=TRUE FocusObjectOnly=TRUE FOV=60.0 PitchControl=CAMERA_PITCH_AXIS YawControl=CAMERA_YAW_AXIS RollControl= ZoomControl=CAMERA_ZOOM_CONTROL JumpToViewSameGroup=FALSE JumpToViewDiffGroup=TRUE SmoothAngleTransition=TRUE SmoothPositionTransition=FALSE SmoothFOVTransition=TRUE RememberAngle=FALSE RememberFOV=TRUE LimitPitch=TRUE LimitYaw=TRUE LimitRoll=FALSE ZoomFOV=TRUE ZoomScale=0.01 PanScale=0.00160 MinSpeed=100.0 MaxSpeed=10000.0 Acceleration=2000.0 AngleRates=480.0,360.0,360.0 FOVRate=60.0 MinAngles=-135.0,-20.0,0.0 MaxAngles=135.0,110.0,0.0 MinFOV=15.0 MaxFOV=240.0 OffsetDistance=0.06 TrackIRUseAbsolutePos=TRUE

Additional note the above, my options file is set to read only, yet ingame options still show an aspect ratio of 16:9. Basically, my custom aspect setting doesn't appear to be "sticking" to the sim. Resolution is correct (5760x1080x32) in the in-game menu, but aspect is not. Changing options.ini to read only or not has no effect. Further backing up my theory, this screenshot taken from 1920x1080 mode shows a fully zoomed out 'pit view shows that the increased FOV is "taking" in the sim. Now it's the options.ini and aspect ratio setting that needs to be worked out.:

OK Eyefinity Peoples Here's My Setup (for 3 Screens, All DVI Connections Via Native Port or Adapter): Creating the Eyefinity: 1. Create Eyefinity Group, Do Bezel Correction if you wish. 2. Give Center Screen the Deferred (minimizing center screen tearing) 3. Set Triple Buffering 4. Force VSync ON. (i still get some tearing on the left screen, but im running everything maxed and it likes to dip from 60 Fr/Sec to 45 when panning). Configuring Strike Fighters 2: (if you have a Custom Viewlist.ini, Skip to Step 7) 5. Extract the Viewlist from the FlightDATA.CAT 6. Place Viewlist.ini in <C:/Users/<UserName>/Saved Games/Thirdwire/<StrikeFighers2 Game Folder>/Flight/> Folder 7. Open Viewlist.ini, Goto ViewClass2, Change OffsetDistance=0.06 To OffsetDistance=-.175, Set Max FoV to 240 8. Repeat for ViewClass3 if you want the Snap Views to be pulled back as well. 9. Launch Strike Fighters 2 10. Goto Options 11. Goto Graphics 12. Choose the Eyefinity Resolution from the Drop Down Menu. 13. Choose the Aspect Ratio of your Monitor (16:9, 16:10, whatever). 14. Start a Single Mission and Test.

Does this work also for Strike Fighters: Vietnam and Europe?

Thirdwire's web site has a CAT extractor that you can download for free.
You don't have to extract the whole thing either, you can browse, then extract individual files.

Thanks! But I can't seem to get it to be able to read the CAT file. Says there's an error. Is there an older CAT extractor that would work with Strike Fighters the orig?

Ok last question, since this is Strike Fighters the original, do I place this in the Strike Fighters\Flight folder?

Haven't touched SF2 in over a year and before I got my Eyefinity setup. Just updated to the current April patch and tried this and can't get the wider FOV.

Works for me and 2 other systems:
Configuring Strike Fighters 2: (if you have a Custom Viewlist.ini, Skip to Step 7) 5. Extract the Viewlist from the FlightDATA.CAT 6. Place Viewlist.ini in <C:/Users/<UserName>/Saved Games/Thirdwire/<StrikeFighers2 Game Folder>/Flight/> Folder 7. Open Viewlist.ini, Goto ViewClass2, OffsetDistance=0.06 To Change OffsetDistance=-.175, Set Max FoV to 240 8.
Take a Camera phone pic of your screens running the game, so i can see what they look like.

I can't zoom any farther back, no matter what I put in the maxFOV value

I can't zoom any farther back, no matter what I put in the maxFOV value Open Viewlist.ini, Goto ViewClass2, Change OffsetDistance=0.06 To OffsetDistance=-.175, or -.180 (you can increase this in small increments.)

Hmmm, might have to try this out again. I've only had FSX & XPX installed since last summer and am somewhat getting back into combat sims. Recently installed DBW for il-2 and wow!

Hi Skatezilla,
I owe you many thanks for your kind help with the FOV issue in the strike fighters series. I disappeared as I was tangled up with exams, reports and other end-of-academic-year nonsense. Now that I am on holiday, I returned to the flight sims in a big way, and just as I was about to consign Strike Fighters to the "It won't run on three screens so I will never play it again" bin, I saw you tip on the offset values, tried it and bingo. The FOV is not as far back as I would have liked, but the game is now playable and great fun. I knew there must have been a simple solution that I was missing. You've brought new life to a game which plays well and looks fabulous on the three screens. Thanks again for all your help!
Peter
