Hello all, Need a little help, I followed ArgonV's instructions for install/download of SDOE, all the add-ons, terrains, sounds, skins & patches are in the game. The problem is I can't fly any missions, none, zip, nada, nothing. I even change the compatibility to Win98. (my rig is XP). I click the FLY/DRIVE button, the screen goes black, then the after screen appears (the one that shows you your score, kills, etc...) Don't know how to fix HELP PLEASE.

Are you launching App.exe (Or the shortcut thereto)?
Also, try changing renders to OpenGL32 in the display Options menu in the game and a lower resolution to test.

@ ArgonV,
I lowered the graphics & display settings, That seemed to take care of it.
Thanks
Next problem: In the TRAINING section it seems I cannot fly the following a/c's; P-47D, P-40F, F4F-4, F4U-1A & F4U-2. In the TRAINING box there is no description, i.e. takeoff, landing, bombing, etc. I just get a CTD when I click the FLY/DRIVE button.

Great! Glad you got that sorted.
This next problem sounds like a missing piece... Check to be sure all .PAR files are in the SDOE\Media folder EXCEPT the ones that are already in the SDOE\Media\OpenPlane folder.

Sounds like the issue is with the US expansion pack, which is data33.par

There is a Data11-14.par and a Data16-18.par for SDOE WW2 that you need:
11. Basepack (odds & ends) 12. Basepack (USA) 13. Basepack (Great Britain) 14. Basepack (Germany)
16. Basepack (USSR) 17. Basepack (Japan) 18. Basepack (France) 19. Basepack (Italy)

Par files are mostly sequential, but there are spaces left for future expansion. Also, some only apply to a WWI install, many others only to a WWII install. The list is approximately as shown here, though there may be minor changes, and some not yet available: http://www.openplanesim.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=200&start=0Content of some of the par files are listed in posts stickied here, if you can sort out the correspondence between pack name and parfile number (not so simple, as it isn't one to one). http://www.openplanesim.com/forums/viewforum.php?f=4

Well not really, I pointed out the missing par files, and what they are related to. It looks like you need the Base Pack stuff.

Unless you have installed the DVD all-in-one that's floating around out there, you need to collect the bits which are listed in the "step by step" sticky in this forum, not all of which come from moddb.com. The basepack comes from openplanesim.com, as the sticky link shows. If you find you are missing a plane, it does take a bit of digging to figure out where it should be coming from. But the openplanesim links I gave you in the previous post should get you sorted as what comes from where. It's mostly the BasePack which has multiple .par files in it, which Argon has listed for you.

To ArgonV & PV1
Sorry it took a while to get back to you.
I downloaded and installed the BasePack & BP update you suggested and everything seems to work ok now.
Thanks for the help.
