Hello all,

Need a little help, I followed ArgonV's instructions for install/download of SDOE, all the add-ons, terrains, sounds, skins & patches are in the game. The problem is I can't fly any missions, none, zip, nada, nothing. I even change the compatibility to Win98. (my rig is XP).

I click the FLY/DRIVE button, the screen goes black, then the after screen appears (the one that shows you your score, kills, etc...) Don't know how to fix HELP PLEASE. sigh

Are you launching App.exe (Or the shortcut thereto)?

Also, try changing renders to OpenGL32 in the display Options menu in the game and a lower resolution to test.

@ ArgonV,

I lowered the graphics & display settings, That seemed to take care of it.

Thanks

Next problem: In the TRAINING section it seems I cannot fly the following a/c's; P-47D, P-40F, F4F-4, F4U-1A & F4U-2. In the TRAINING box there is no description, i.e. takeoff, landing, bombing, etc. I just get a CTD when I click the FLY/DRIVE button.

Great! Glad you got that sorted.

This next problem sounds like a missing piece... Check to be sure all .PAR files are in the SDOE\Media folder EXCEPT the ones that are already in the SDOE\Media\OpenPlane folder.

Sounds like the issue is with the US expansion pack, which is data33.par

There is a Data11-14.par and a Data16-18.par for SDOE WW2 that you need:

11. Basepack (odds & ends)
12. Basepack (USA)
13. Basepack (Great Britain)
14. Basepack (Germany)

16. Basepack (USSR)
17. Basepack (Japan)
18. Basepack (France)
19. Basepack (Italy)

Par files are mostly sequential, but there are spaces left for future expansion.
Also, some only apply to a WWI install, many others only to a WWII install.
The list is approximately as shown here, though there may be minor changes,
and some not yet available:
http://www.openplanesim.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=200&start=0
Content of some of the par files are listed in posts stickied here, if you can
sort out the correspondence between pack name and parfile number (not so simple,
as it isn't one to one).
