You're gonna be a bit busy over Tokyo. Post when you get to China.

Special: I think you are looking for IL-2 COD. It's the forum right above ours.
I really don't know dated from up-to-date. I don't play video games. I recreate history. I read it from books printed on paper or experienced it in airplanes made of aluminum. So there's the reason, huh? Can't expect much from old school.
I would be curious what any other engine would do with 16 low-poly medium bombers painted with 36 megabytes of paint each arranged on the deck a 47000 poly aircraft carrier. We all play with YOUR computer so it would be interesting to see. I saw the last attempt.

Maybe I don't understand. Is this an online game or a COTS game?

Yep just a touch. A bow to the old SFengine which has served quite well. No where, in any flightsim, has anyone put 16 correct as possible B-25B's on the deck of a correct as possible CV-8 Hornet (thanks Hinch) You can fly any one of them, from 402344 to 402268 on their specific mission, and maybe crash land in China.(thanks Edward). Plus the missions enroute off the Enterprise and perhaps catch the Nashville firing up the picket boats. Just tolerate the dated graphics.

A good game with crummy graphics is far better than a crummy game with awesom graphics.
Not that I am sayin that this has crummy graphics as it does not. What I do mean is that the vast majority of developers and publishers puke out code for customer hardware instead of telling a story and engaging their imagination.

COTS = Commercial Off The Shelf.
I see this is an add on to the Third Wire series so I understand the "dated" graphics. I didn't mean to offend.
