I started my first campaign yesterday in EECH and picked Lebanon (it is in the news a lot lately) and was pleasantly suprised to see a Israel vs. Hezbollah campaign - and the description accurately described the firing of rockets from Hezbollah.

I was pretty amazed by this seeing how the war has only been going on for a couple of weeks.

How recent is this campaign?

On a side note it is pretty fun so far - went on an hour long escort mission - darned chinooks are SLOW - but I racked up quite a bit of kills clearing the way for the troops.

Hey Mr_Blastman,

Sounds great, I too have been getting right into this excellent sim. Post up some screenshots if you get a chance....

I would be flying Lebanon if it weren't for the fact that it runs a lot choppier than some of the other theaters. \:\(

Yep, been playing "Golan Heights" for about 4 days now. Doing some great jobs cleaning up also (for once), instead of flying a smoking heap on the ground.

Mintz, the additional campaigns are found in Superpatch3 available from here:
http://www.eechcentral.com/files/Addon%2...superpatch3.exe
Just run it and make sure you have the Lebanon/Israel campaign checked so it will install.. I think it is checked by default but just make sure. Also you can just check Lebanon/Israel if that is all you want to add. I was missing them too and just got the additional Lebanon campaigns after you mentioned it.

Is anyone sufficiently familiar with the Golan Heights area to know what the huge hollow brick fortress is?

I once had the best goat cheese from a little place in the GH and have been flying around looking for the same village to get some more. So far no go. Keep you eyes/nose open for me.

I used to know both real Golan Heights and the campaign very well (after all I made the campaign \:\) ), but as far as I remember, there is only one type of "crusader's castle" object in EECH, so it is generic. In reality there are several castles in this style near Lebanese border and in Golans, but I don't think in the game they are placed very accurately.

Thanks for the info. I didn't realize it was a generic object, nor did I know about the real ones.

Nice job on the campaign as well. It's been a long time since I was there & I'm really enjoying flying around the area at the moment. Thanks for your hard work.

It was before we were able to make new maps or replace textures on per map basis. I just looked at Lebanon map and realised that it already includes big part of Northern Israel and Golans, so I made two new campaigns in this area.

With current technology it would be possible to make operation specific IAF and Syrian (or whatever) camos, without replacing it everywhere. That would be an interesting campaign for me because I spent some years there, but I am not an artist. Regretfully, it is a less fantastic scenario now than it was when I was making the campaigns.

Yes I can't believe how quickly things have gone so badly in that part of the world. It seems like the last two weeks have caused a regression of thirty years.

How's the heat wave in your part of the world?
