EDIT: Just re-checked Steam and there was indeed a download completed of 54.3 MB. Sadly, no description available. I guess that was the patch.

Massive frame rate loss during zoomed view when looking at bombers is no longer there.

^It's set to auto-update, and I *guess* it has updated, but when I click on "view update details" all I'm getting is the announcement for CoD from March 19th 2011.

A patch-readme would've been nice.

It looked as if it started to download the patch but just signed out of steam at the same time accidentally.

Now I cannot get steam to re-start the download.. ??? Is there a way to manually launch patch update?

Also what is the version number on your game now (folks who have updated).

Why should it? If they removed it completely that is.

Usually in Steam you click the game, then click news and they'll have the patch info.

Wow, my crossfire is working great now, it like a completely new experience.

Nah only kidding, dual GPUs still not supported and still not playable with more than 5 or 6 enemey bombers in the air. So much for the epilepsy filter killing SLI performance, causing stutters and remove lots of nice effects. CoD looks and plays indentically pre and post patch for me.

I just relaunched the same mission that was unplayable before and it worked, well, a lot better. It wasn't perfect, I still get stutters once my bullets hit an enemy plane, which, in a combat flight-sim, really is annoying and kind of a show-stopper.


However: FPS were much higher - and more *consistent* so far.

Will try Spit vs Heinkel engagement next and see what happens.

So far, the patch definetly looks like a step in the right direction. However: The game still needs a lot of fixing.

Devastat: You can't really miss the patch if it's installed. On the splash-screen (pilot's face close-up) there's now a pretty huge epilepsy-disclaimer. Plus there's a new option in the video setting "epilepsy-filter on/off".

After flying around, I can say micro stutter is still here. But overover slight FPS increase. Also, flight model feels slighly different.

You cannot joke with people like that around here. SimHQ will impose a "heart-attack filter" on posts.

Russian version.

Patch worked for me, performance MUCH better. Still stutters over london, but at least I can approach bombers and the game doesn't become a slideshow. I would say its a MAJOR leap forward, and its good to continue from here

P.S No menu option for epilepsy filter, perhaps its automatically now turned off for all in russian version? I don't know cause I had it disabled already before.

OMG - crippled props, no ffb, borked exhaust flames - please don't tell me they've dumbed down the FM .... might have to change my nick to NuggetXI
