OK... now that we can all agree that Shift 2 is no simulation or "real racer" as they claim...
The PC version is actually a pretty fun game with issues... The console version (360) is a bomb in both graphics and gameplay and not worth 10 bucks IMO... but the PC version... as in these videos below... graphic details are all maxed except for that bloom/blur setting is OFF (I hate that)... the sim mode is set to elite... full sim mode, no aids, I don't even like overlays... so that is completely off. (thank you iRacing for teaching me how to race without a track overlay, lol)... actually the only problem I have is about a 1/2 inch play in the center of the steering, (thanks to Kludger for showing me the force feedback options, missed them, lol) (BTW, my 360 version doesn't identify my FANATEC, instead it uses the M$ wireless wheel with force feedback... so no clutch, weak feedback, and instead of a .5 inch wheel deadspeace, the 360 has about a 2 inch space... needless to say it makes the game unplayable on console, IMO...)
So anyway, both videos are the same lap... 1st is the helmet cam, followed by the replay camera...
BTW, I actually won, didn't expect too and the AI raced me clean for 5 laps...was surprised, maybe just a bad first couple of races yesterday.
BTW, I know I suck as a virtual racer... so you don't need to tell me.

Nice vids Magnum, you may want to try in addition setting "speed sensitivity" to 50 which helps smooth out the steering on my G27 along with the dinput8.dll from Shift1 Sharp Mod by Juls which removed the lag for me.
Also the SRT dudes have a video with some recommended settings for the Fanatec that you may want to try:
Overall with those mods, it's feeling pretty good for me now, I just need to spend more time on the career instead of hotlapping Nordschleife in my new Caterham, I'm only up to level 11 with none of those nice cars in your video, but the Caterham sure is fun.
