Two quick questions,
First of all Besides transfer missions, what good are they??!! lol has anybody EVER seen either of them tasked by the AI to preform any other mission than 'transfer' or 'Recon' , I havent!

Second, Is there any way to make them do more? I have been playing with Gwut 1.3 editor and i can make them available to take other missions, but the AI will not accept the mission, you have to start it, then quit it, to make the AI run the mission. Has anybody else played arround with this? if so, any luck?

Thanks

I am sure the Sea Knights do repair missions. Apart from that, and "supply" missions if they existed, what else would a Sea Knight do?

I think as part of a Repair mission, they leave fuel and ammo, but could be wrong about that.

Foot down, head down...

Quote:
Mission: The mission of the CH-46E Sea Knight helicopter in a Marine Medium Helicopter (HMM) squadron is to provide all-weather, day/night, night vision goggle (NVG) assault transport of combat troops, supplies, and equipment during amphibious and subsequent operations ashore. Troop assault is the primary function and the movement of supplies and equipment is secondary. Additional tasks are: combat and assault support for evacuation operations and other maritime special operations; over-water search and rescue augmentation; support for mobile forward refueling and rearming points; aeromedical evacuation of casualties from the field to suitable medical facilities.

I think the Sea Knight and the Osprey in the game should be able to take : Insertion, Supply, Repair, and Recon missions to make it more useful, as it is in real life.

I'll keep tinkering with Gwut editor, and see what i can do.

Let's see I've flown:
TRAP
Special Ops Insertions
Troop Insertions
SAR
Resupply
Medivac

Most of my flying was done at night on the googles.. before I got into the Test Pilot side of maintance.

I haven't played with the mission editor. But a good mission would be a troop insert at X hour, with a Harrier and Cobra escort.
