I haven't played version 3 yet. Why are they updating so quickly? I can't keep up.

I wonder if this is "another" final update. Would sure like to see the version finalized. Haven't even tried 2011 yet, I recall some grumbling about this and that on the initial release but haven't followed it closely since. My coach says I'm ready though.

The first release almost felt like a step backwards, thankfully all the issues were corrected in version 3 which was pretty good. Hopefully this update doesn't break anything!
BTW: I never get tired of that video, classic.

I'm going to evaluate the most recent version of TPSCC. The guys over at The Pits used to be a real go-to back during the Papy NASCAR days. Not sure how their mod runs.
Pretty disappointed with a few of the mods I tried tonight.
Sticking with VHR for stockcar stuff might be the best option. TBH the only other stockcar mod I enjoyed was the street stock mod, which would bring a little bit of classic saturday night short track racin' if we ran it.
Another update: 5.0 Update - After taking in every comment and questions regarding the mod's future, and did a allot of thinking and listening to Johnny Cash....that's right, Johnny Cash. I am not giving up the mod.....this mod is my vision and life long hobby and I am going to continue for all of the VHR fans out there. The main problem with 4.0 is the rear drafting numbers are too strong which is causing the cars to become way too loose....this will address in 5.0. I will not going to give a time table on the release of the update....but I am going to work my ass off to get it out to the leagues in time for your next race.
I also tried out a really nice sprint car mod last night - but for some reason the engine overheats after 6-7 laps and dies. Very few setup options allowed, I went in and lowered the gear ratio and the tape % as much as I could with no success.
If not for that, I think racing those would be a blast.

You know, I getting sick of the little drama. Sometimes I think it's him bringing in on himself. With that said, I'm glad he's back for now.

No...That only works if you waste your time downloading the ENTIRE EFFING THING yet one more time. Then you will be guaranteed that within 72 hours version 6 will be released. As a complete download of over 1G...

Aaaaaand we are still waiting for the patch to be released so we don't have to D/L the whole thing again. Maybe he quit again?

• 04/14/11 - Players that have 5.0 can simply install the 6.0 upgrade patch. Full installer is now updated for new people and racers that had the previous 2011 versions. VHR 6.0 Edition promises to bring Sim racing experience to a whole new level with fully updated tracks, updated paint schemes, better sounds and even better fine tuned physic's. With more limitations on engines, transmissions, brake and tire wear plays into your racing strategy and saving your equipment will be the key to victory. 6.0 is the last update for 2011 and the will be the base for 2012.
I love the dedication to improving the product, but keeping up with updates that come so frequently has become almost impossible for me. How about a new update every 4-6 months? That would a pace I could keep up with.
