And that kids, is one of the reasons you should not go around bullying people.

Too bad the wrong guy got suspended... the one who defended himself may now be facing criminal charges. Anyone surprised?

although I do think the move was pretty brutal, the small bully went head-first into the concrete. Could have resulted in spinal cord injury - that's why it's dangerous to have strength without proper training.

The clip showed that zangief showed restraint as he did not attack when first bullied or continued agression when the agressor was downed, i don't think the criminal charges will take effect, any good lawyer can help with this.

Things started to go wrong when the skinny connected a fist into Zangief and he didn't even move... smile

Now seriously, this kind of things are usual, I wouldn't judge the kid for displaying that violence, he's just a kid, you know. It's just the way it is, we do this when we are grown up men, why would we think they'll behave differently? They'll do the same they see on TV... and before TV the would do the same they saw in the movies, and before the movies they would do the same they saw on real life.

My question here would be, what is wrong with schools (I suppose it's a school)? What kind of "structure", organization (damn, I can't find the word) would allow two kinds (and more as "backups") to get to the point when there's a fist fight? No one supervising, no one calling a teacher, they just watch.

And, after all, this is the way it has ALWAYS been. Everybody has a fist fight when they were kids. The problem here is that the smaller one saw too much Bruce Lee movies and He thought that fat guys are inferior on a fight... owned.

When you're feeling sad, just remember that somewhere in the world, there's someone pushing a door that says "pull".

ROFLMAO! Bravo! Punch him again, Bruce Lee, LOL!

There's just a little old fashioned karma coming down;
Just a little old fashioned justice going 'round.
A little bit of sowing and a little bit of reaping,
A little bit of laughing and a little bit of weeping;
Just a little old fashioned karma coming down.

Just a little old fashioned karma coming down,
A little old fashioned justice going 'round.
It really ain't hard to understand,
If you're going to dance,
You got to pay the band;
It's just a little old fashioned karma coming down!

Cheers!

And if you noticed, as with typical bullies and their buddies, the second he tossed the dippy to the ground, his friend got in his face. Bullies hang with bullies.

My son had a bully at school like that. He never really bothered Danny because Danny was as big as him plus Dan was like his old man in believing that there is no such thing as a fair fight.

Well, one of Daniel's other buddies transferred into his school. This kid is about the most unassuming child you would run into. He is very intelligent and mildly nerdy.

He also was in Tai Kwan Do since the age of 4 years old. If he had one passion it was that. He was a blackbelt by seven and was a 3rd degree by the time he reached the sixth grade, when he transferred in.

Of course the bully had to try him on, see what he could do to ruffle this nerdy kid that just showed up at his school. Apparently he rushed Wyatt with intent to give him a shove and knock him to the ground.

I didn't see it but apparently it was pretty funny. Wyatt I think took less than five seconds to put this kid on the ground. Wyatt is very much a believer in nonviolence and used an absolute minimum of effort to take this kid down but apparently this kid hit hard, face first when Wyatt took him over his shoulder and dumped him on the ground. Danny wouldn't stop talking about it but not only did the kid get his face scraped up pretty bad but he got suspended for several days for attacking Wyatt. No one messed with him again.

I let it slip in high school that I practiced the martial arts and from that point on, every tough guy had to get a shot. I was taught not to engage them so I did my best. That seemed to encourage them even more. Of course, when I finally responded, there was a teacher there to see it... and of course he only saw what I did.

My life is a bad movie.

That bully boy got owned, big style!

Was Zangief really that 'victim' kid's real name? When I first saw this topic title I thought it was going to be about Street Fighter! smile

It's funny that the bully should be compared to Bruce Lee and the bullied is called Zangief...

Sadly some lawyers will argue that a weak 4ss punch thrown by a 70lbs kid on a bigger and more muscular kid would have only caused supperficial bruises while the awesome move by the 'victim' could have well caused some serious injuries to the little maggot.

I mean, the big kid would have killed the other just by sitting on him...

Way to him to instantly go from 'the fat guy' to 'the big guy'

Cheers

Nico

Lucky the big guy didn't just stomp the little guy into a pulp. From what the video is showing the big kid did not want to fight but when pushed too far he wanted to make sure that he wasn't bothered again. He showed more restraint than most and shouldn't have been suspended or be worrying about criminal charges.

The important thing to note here is that the camera man is talking to other people including but probably not limited to the larger kid who steps in at the end to help his friend. Had Zangief gotten pulled into a punching match the little kid's friends would have joined in and he probably would have lost.

Zangief did the proper thing and stopped it before it started. Still, he was in the wrong he could have walked away or called for help. He choose to end it in a way that hurt the other kid and as such he deserves his suspension even though he was not technically in the "wrong."

After being hit in the face there is no way I would walk away. Especially if it was unprovoked as the video leads you to believe. And therein lies the rub, you only see what is going on in the video and not what led up to that point.

That guy looks lighter than any of those girls. Looks like you can either be too skinny or too fat. The amount of people who are just right are rare; but that still does not mean you have to either be that skinny or that fat.

My nephew is a 14 year old skinny kid with big ears...real bully fodder. He also obtained black belt at 12 in Tai Kwan Do; his instructor has drummed it in to his pupils that in England if he uses any of his skills (even in self-defence) he is liable to criminal prosecution. How is he to defend himself?

isn't that the whole reason to take Martial Arts, upon a few other things, but self defense is usually the "main" reason?

How to defend himself? Good old-fashioned kicking and screaming!

No offense to you or your nephew personally as I know each circumstance is different, but generally I always find the idea of taking up 'martial arts' or something as a perceived form of self-defense rather cringe-worthy. A lot of the time it's just so big-heads can say "I know martial arts." At the end of a day, in a pub fight (example), is the average person really going to be able to think and act quick enough to utilize any of those skills? A pool cue to the back of anyone's head is going to do some damage whether you know martial arts or not. It's like all these bodybuilders who do it for the 'mean' image so nobody messes with them, or so that people think they're 'hard' and don't 'start' on them. Why spend thousands of dollars on gym memberships or personal equipment and hundreds of hours busting a gut, when again, at the end of the day all that can so effortlessly be toppled with a single bullet or stab wound? In America where you have the luxury of carrying a firearm for personal protection, I'd rather just be a fat random guy with a handgun than a meathead with an image.
