Can somebody please help me run Janes WW!! fighters in Win 7 x32? Is it possible? The fly now options works fine but anything else locks up instantly. Thanks

Have you tried changing the 3d renderer in ww2.ini? If it's set to Direct3d, try changing it to OpenGL (or vice versa). I don't have instructions on how to do this anymore, but if you can't find it online & are just dying for it, I can root through my boxes to see if I can find my old backup files for this sim.

I don't the problem. Janes WWII Fighters works perfectly in Win7 x 64bit, without any adjustments in renderer or anything else. Have you tried 64bit?

I have zero tech knowledge, so I have no clue what Wirebrush means. Here is my setup (from the factory):

Intel i7 920 @ 3.6GHz (factory overclocked)
EVGA X58 LE Edition mobo
6GB DDR3 1600MHz
1.5 Terrabyte Seagate Barracuda (32MB cache, Extreme Speed)
Nvidia Geforce GTX 285 1GB
Win 7, 64 Bit Home Premium
Logitech G940 FFB HOTAS

All I did was pop in the CDs (my old, original CDs from many years ago) followed onscreen install instructions, and it runs like a charm. I didn't do anything special.

That's encouraging. I've gotten it to work just fine on Nvdia 4-200 series cards; that's a hell of a good compatibility streak. As long as I applied that .ini edit & didn't attempt to apply anti-aliasing, it launched and ran just fine (XP 32-bit, XP 64-bit, W7 64-bit). If you find the right source & experiment w/compatability modes, I'm confident you'll get it working.

You should try to get help at http://www.ww2fighters.org too if you can't find the answers you're looking for here, Wirebrush. It's a major hub for all resources related to this sim.

I don't know what the .ini edit is or how to do it. I literally didn't do anything at all to get it to run other than install it. I guess I didn't know enough to know I should've had a problem. Fortunately, I've experienced none.
