The weather was perfect, and the lighting was good too. The show was a little light on military acts, but it was a fun show. It's the Blue Angels' first performance of the year, but I have seen them so many times I have to admit that I left early and missed a lot of their performance.

That moon shot is awesome, looks like El Centro is photographer friendly with the lighting huh? Awesome shots, I really like the Hornet climbing shot as well!

Thanks for the comments guys!

I had been trying to get the moon in a shot all day, but wasn't able to put it together very well until that shot. I like the framing, but the aircraft was very high and very small, so I had to shoot this at 400mm, the max zoom on my lens, and even then it's still cropped a fair amount. I think the camera focus was tracking the smoke more than the plane, as it seems a bit soft. I'm not sure how it would hold up in any larger size than that, but I like the arrangement.

Ken, all great shots as you always do, but I'm telling ya, number 12, the moon shot, is over the top good. If that doesn't make the cover of some aviation magazine, there's something wrong with the world.

Great photos.

I just love F16s. To me they are the "looker" of modern aircraft. You got some nice shots of them Ken.
