So.. what do you make of the video.. Is it just an off the cuff remark or has he been caught on the hop and given the game away?

I seriously think that if Valve ever did do a CS2, it's time for them to re-think their gaming initiative. I mean come on, CS2? That is probably the most shallow game you could do a sequel to. What would they even add in it? CS is fun for about half and hour but then it gets repetitive and is just full of cheats and hacks online. I thought CS: Source was even a bit ambitious. They should worry about HL2: Ep3 before anything else. Even Portal 2 I can't really see the point to, I mean, it was a nice concept but a sequel?

Gabe Newell in an IGN article said that they are working on updating their SDK tools and went into detail that he believes Hammer Editor needs to be made more user friendly and offer more tools. So, the question is why would he bother updating the SDK tools for a game engine people are playing less and less of? I'm speculating that there will be a major update to the Source/Orange Engine for modders, or they are going to release an HL3/CS:S2.

This is what i would like. A HL3/CS2 combo. Say what you like about CS when it was 1st released (pre source) i played it.. a lot. It was a truly great game when you had a team of people all on comms using tactics to plant or defend a bomb. I accept that when CS:Source came along it became tiresome. My pet hate is the overwhelming amount of servers that play Dust 2 constantly. I never liked Dust 2 myself and i missed all the maps that we lost when they switched to CS: Source.

This video kinda sums up why i stopped playing CS.. It amuses me.
