I'm no Terry Thomas but i'll give it a go. What equipment are we going to need to help out?
That Farrow bloke you executed today, are you sure he's dead? Well I chopped his head off, that usually does the trick. Yes, don't get clever with me Baldrick. I just thought you might have lopped off a leg or something by mistake. No, the thing I chopped off had a nose.

Hi Ssnake, Since we have a Challenger on the way, might we one day possibly see a Chieftain to go with the other Cold War era tanks (M60, T62)? I would be happy even if it was AI only Cheers, Broken

Yes, air gaps add a lot of protection against HESH. But you can't put air gaps everywhere for overall volume restrictions (e.g. you still need to load a tank on a flatbed railway car, and it must still fit through tunnels - so most AFVs roofs are homogeneous steel, which makes them vulnerable. But of course, hitting the roof is a bit of a challenge. Doable, yes - but easy? No.
Beyond that, let's not forget about secondary HESH effects - fragmentation that can pepper sights and rip off external equipment, and with open hatches and unbuttoned crew - well, that one is obvious ... and with relatively recent historic precedence (sadly, a very unfortunate event).

But must at least bind frontally in oder to flank ;-)
